Every once in a while we have the good fortune of working on a project that we feel truly matters, a project that we’ll still be thinking about years from now. Maybe even something we can imagine telling our grandkids about – surely you’ve had moments like that where something you did in your professional life really mattered?

What’s the most meaningful project I’ve had the honor to work on? Last March I was found on instagram, asked to style hair for a tv show on USA NETWORK. I remember this day vividly, it was my sons 2nd birthday, we had just finished having his birthday party. I was cleaning up all the party decorations and was able to look at my phone for the first time all day. Read more>>

The Lost Files (EP) was one of the most sentimental things I’ve ever put out , starting with the first song “My Love Interlude” was dedicated to my significant other and was a lot of true emotion I felt and feel about us and her , This project was my first and as of now my only project, it was the first time I put my all into something without asking for anything but a listen in return, Read more>>

The most meaningful work I think I’ve done so far is equally split between my work on PBS and my free children’s outreach touring. Over the last 3 years I’ve been able to create 18 original programs for PBS ranging from Opera and Musical Theater to World Music and classic hymns. Having grown up in a small town and spending my career in large urban areas I think I have a unique perspective on a broad swath of the viewing audience. Read more>>

It’s hard to say that one singular project I’ve worked on is the ‘most’ meaningful – as an artist I strive to use my creativity to bring about new meanings and understand things through different perspectives. Much of my work revolves around art as a tool for revolution, both personal and within society. My first zine “Protomatter” focused on networking with local creatives whose work inspires me and highlighting their stories. Read more>>

In 2021, I was commissioned to draw a sunflower bouquet as a birthday gift to celebrate the 60th birthday of a cancer survivor – a very meaningful request. The day I began the drawing, Russia invaded Ukraine. I learned that sunflowers represent peace and prosperity, so I infused my drawing with strength and good wishes for the Ukrainian people as well as for the birthday recipient. Read more>>

I’m now two years into my career and out of all the opportunities i’ve had the pleasure of working on, I think the one i’m apart of now is probably the most meaningful! When I first started taking Content creation seriously and more so as a profession I noticed most projects I worked on were just for the money or for the moment that may have been trending. However the project i’m apart of currently is a brand ambassadorship with the clothing brand “Aliesha Renea”. Read more>>

It’s difficult to say the most meaningful project we’ve worked on between our last album MMXXII, and the Seraphic War EP. We can understand how most of you who know us would be surprised there’s any comparison, considering for MMXXII we got to work with big time producer Omar Vallejo for the first time, and we accompanied the release of the album with our first national tour. I recently finished an experimental animation about stories related to Asian women, for which I interviewed some women from different backgrounds and cultures. They told their stories and some of their own views on gender issues. This was a new experiment for me, and I gained a lot of unique insights. Also, I am inspired by the brave and energetic attitudes they showed in their daily lives. Read more>>

In 2021, I made a resolution for this year: release a single. “A single” was a purposeful low-ball. I assumed that just getting started on a project would give me the momentum I needed to really start making music, to create a sound, to do all those things young musicians are obsessed with doing. I would have to say it was creating and producing the book The Motherhood of Art with Marissa Huber. I struggled as a new mom and artist and even in 2011 that wasn’t something that was widely talked about. There was a stigma to women artists who also chose to become mothers. I felt a true identity crisis as a creative. Read more>>

Definitely GG’s Custom Crafts has been my most meaningful project that I have worked on! In 2018, I learned that one of my favorite films was going to Broadway. Pretty Woman is a timeless classic and I could watch it everyday for the rest of my life. To obtain a media pass for a Broadway show was certainly a goal as an entertainment blogger. To have different genres of art under my belt is what I knew would classify me as a multifaceted journalist. Read more>>

It is still a work in progress. I call it a Photographic Portal Model. It has, on a low-tech photographic level, what I believe are the three basic qualities of an artificial portal:exterior cloaking, interior holodeck like photographic display and an interior photographic hologram display within the photographic holodeck. All of these three attributes can be translated into a high-tech application. Read more>>

Currently I’m working on a double-album concept album with my bandmate, Amy. Together, we make up the indie-rock duo, High Fiction. I have just recorded my first album and am taking it on the road for a 14 date UK tour in April. Here is my elevator pitch for my recent series of paintings and drawings: “I use color and paint to create otherworldly, abstract places on the edge.” Of course, there is more to it than that, but that simple sentence is a door to my thinking. I don’t know what the places will look like until I’m finished making them out of oil paint, oil pastels, colored pencil, collage, or on my iPad). Read more>>
