Every once in a while we have the good fortune of working on a project that we feel truly matters, a project that we’ll still be thinking about years from now. Maybe even something we can imagine telling our grandkids about – surely you’ve had moments like that where something you did in your professional life really mattered?

I’ve been lucky enough to work on some really great music projects over the years. But since this project is about to be released on 9-23-22 (my birthday), I’ll say this one is the most special. Its my debut ep “PSYCHO”. It’s been a work in progress over the last 2-3 years. I started working on it in 2019 and then 2020 happened. The world went through what it went through, so there was a lot of stop and go on the production side. There were times where I wasn’t sure if this project would see the light of day, but through it all and with the help of some amazing people we made it happen and here we are. Read more>>

During the past 6 years, pandemic, political unrest, racism coming out of the dark into the light, victims of police brutality, and active shooters all these things creating chaos in a civilized society. I was troubled and wanted to find positive inspiration to counter the negativity. I needed to honor the victims of police brutality and the lives lost through digital oil paintings to humanize them. Well Im not going to say most meaningful because I believe anything/everthing that I’ve done or do for any of my clients no matter the circumstances is MOST meaningful (especially in the moment) but helping Soundcloud with the “Plugg” documentary for MexikoDro was really big for the culture. Helping bring to light 1 of the biggest underground and becoming main stream sound. Read more>>

The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my new album entitled “TEARS”. I started working on this album in Summer of 2021 right after dropping my project “The Lake Show”. This album is an accumulation of emotions I built up over the last two years. The album addresses topics like police brutality, stereotypes, relationship issues, sexuality, ego, repressed emotions, emotional abuse and acceptance. It feels like something the collective conscious has been thinking of or talking about. Read more>>

The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my H.I.M. Ep. This ep is a body of work that I feel really dives into a reality that we sometimes don’t always want to admit to ourselves. 1. That we need help. 2. That sometimes we make the wrong mistakes. 3. That we all can be taken for granted, and most importantly that we all have to be healed. We have to find healing, not in other things, but in ourselves. Read more>>

I have been extremely lucky in that much of my work as an actor and/or producer involves the development and production of original works, many of which tell stories that have not been given a voice in the past (or an equitable voice today). Read more>>

Last year, Chapel Hill Carrboro Foodies raised about $11,000 for Christmas House. Christmas House is a non-profit organization that provides gifts for hundreds of local families. The families are referred to the organization by school social workers. Our donation was used specifically to purchase grocery gift cards that were distributed to each of the families. I love that Chapel Hill Carrboro Foodies can use the platform to engage in philanthropy and help support locals who are facing food insecurity. Read more>>

Most of my visual art is derived from life experiences and most pieces have their own stories. However, the most meaningful project was the one in which I created a whole collection for a year with each month focussing on an aspect of mental health. It was meaningful at a personal level as it helped me overcome my own challenges and at the same time provided me an opportunity to talk about mental health. Read more>>

One of the most meaningful projects I ever worked on was what felt like my very first ”commercial”. It wasn’t necessarily my first commercial but the quality and the dedication that was put into doing the actual commercial was like a once in a lifetime experience. All my projects are meaningful, but the one that stands out in my mind is Adrift, which was a commissioned piece. For me, the most salient feature of Adrift was the amount of time and effort it took to complete. Discussions with the client began in December of 2020, and preliminary sketches were complete by February. Final drawing and cutting of paper went on for about four to five months. Read more>>

The most meaningful project I’ve ever worked on was my single, “Storm” that I had on my EP “Next”. I think this is one of the hardest songs I’ve ever worked on, from writing the lyrics, to helping produce and create the sounds. Storm is about the realization that it’s time to end a relationship, no matter how much love is there, or the memories that are held, Read more>>

I think the most meaningful project that I’ve worked on has been a full-length contemporary dance show that I created in 2022, entitled “Weightless.” I had created my first show in 2019, and it was wonderful, but I was only sixteen, so after maturing in artistry and choreography for a few years, I was ready to take on this challenge. My latest EP, “Only Good at Being Young” I was in a place of repetition, I was writing, but not being moved by what I was making. I wasn’t enjoying the process or the outcome. I had a long conversation one night with some close friends, discussions about our future, our past, our passions, stories about our lives growing up, stories and memories that made me think about why I started creating music in the first place; the feeling of making something that is yours and for you, Read more>>

The most meaningful project I have worked on is my book: A Practical Guide to Zero Waste For Families. My family has been on a journey to reduce our waste to become a zero waste family who produce no waste and live as sustainable as possible since 2015. It Took us 10 years to get there and we learned a lot of important skills but there also lots of challenges and errors along to the way. In the end we reached zero waste and as an extra bonus we save about $18,000 a year just by living more mindfully. Read more>>

The most meaningful project I have worked on is my experimental short film titled Curly Sue Found Dead (2016). Curly Sue Found Dead (2016) reworks the male-dominated narrative of organized crime in America by creating the story of one woman: Susanna Crespo AKA Curly Sue. She thrives in 1980s Miami, the height of cocaine trafficking, and the Miami Drug Wars. While exploring the glamorization of “the gangster” through pop culture, Read more>>

The project I’m working on currently is the most meaningful to me. During the beginning of 2020 to now I hadn’t put music out, due to a lot of things that were out of my control.
