Stories are one of the most powerful ways to learn because they allow us to understand at a deeper level. One of the most important things an business owner can do is help their clients win and so we wanted to create a space where the community can learn from each other’s experiences of how they’ve helped their clients succeed.

We are currently witnessing a powerful success story in progress. Our client, a concerned parent, suspected that their child might be experiencing sexual abuse in the home of an abusive ex-spouse. The child had made alarming comments that raised red flags. Our client reported these concerns to social services, however, while the Department of Human Services (DHS) conducted an initial investigation, it was insufficient to prompt immediate action. The situation escalated when the ex-spouse began abusing their current partner. This partner, fearing for the child’s safety, confided in our client, providing critical insight and evidence that strengthened the case. Armed with this new information, we petitioned the court for an emergency protective order. Read more>>

I recently got off tour with singer/songwriter and artist Leon Thomas as his personal videographer and photographer. The gig was a huge win for me professionally and creatively, but the initiation of the relationship I harnessed with Leon began in New York a year ago. I met him at a hotel in Brooklyn randomly at the bar. My dad encouraged me to go say something to Leon as the opportunity presented itself to speak to someone who I respected in the music industry. After introducing myself to him, I told him about my career in videography and video production, and asked who he had shooting his content at the time. To my surprise, his answer was nobody. It shocked me because I knew a LOT about Leon, and knew that as a grammy award winning producer/songwriter, to then be on a journey as a solo artist, meant he had a hell of a story that needed to be captured and told. A client reached out to me for help with their senior dog, who was over 10 years old and had a history of biting multiple people. The dog had been assessed by a veterinary behaviorist and was deemed dangerous. When I initially met her, she was extremely reactive and didn’t want me anywhere near her house, let alone inside. What made this case particularly challenging was that the dog didn’t exhibit typical warning signs before biting—no growling or other clear signals. In fact, she often appeared ‘happy’ before suddenly displaying aggressive behavior. Her parents felt unsafe walking the dog and weren’t able to have guests in their home, even with the dog in another room. Read more>>

I guess this is kind of a success story for a client of mine as well as for me. I had already decided that I was no longer going to pursue being an herbalist. I had already told God I was done. God told me that I was not done. I had just had a major surgery and was still not where I thought I should be as far as my healing process was going. The doctor had told me that I should be feeling better, but then again everyone is different. That put me in a deep, dark depression and I was trying to climb my way out and couldn’t. So I told God I was done. I was not finishing class and even if I wanted to I couldn’t. Well God truly had other plans for me because just as sure as I verbally said “I am done”, it was like God was saying,” I told you, you weren’t done.” I literally received a phone call from a friend saying, “God told me to call you. A few years ago, just after becoming a values-based leadership Specialist with Global Priority Solutions, I conducted my first discussion on values-based leadership in a virtual setting. I was working with the directors on a team. When the time came for us to state our “action step” regarding the value of Understanding People, which we were discussing that day, one of the directors said she recently had a direct report resign and take a job elsewhere, and she didn’t understand why. In training, the section called the “action step” provides forward momentum. Her “action step” was to engage the direct report to better understand her and why she had given notice. Read more>>

One of our favorite workshops was at The Pilot School during the summer of 2024, a school dedicated to the inclusion of all different students and learning styles. We had the privilege of coming in and being a part of their Technology Day during their “STEM Week” during their summer camp. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to teach Scratch and Scratch Jr. and see the pure joy on the students’ faces as they created projects and watched their ideas come to life on the screen.
