I had just moved to Saint Louis from Switzerland via New York City. I decided to do my 200 hour yoga teacher training over the summer in a two week intensive at a studio in Clayton that doesn’t exist anymore. I had been practicing yoga since my early 20’s and was eager to teach a real live class. I had already practiced with my family and felt ready. 2009, I was approached by a well-known personal trainer who was venturing off from Bally’s to create his own brand. I was freshly released from my job at the time, but was in fairly decent shape from collegic wrestling the previous years. Since my physique fit the part of a personal trainer, DeAnthony Moore offered me a personal training position at his new fitness studio in Overland, MO.
