Our Storytime series is based on the premise that stories are one of the most powerful ways to learn and so this series explores topics we think matter greatly to the success of small business owners and artists and creatives. One of those topics is showing customers that you appreciate them because there is a vast body of research as well as countless anecdotes of how showing customers you appreciate them directly impacts the degree to which your business will succeed and grow. Most of my business comes from referrals from my previous clients. My clients are my heart, they are why I am in this business. I love doing pop-bys, they allow for me to connect w/ my clients and put a smile on their face(s). I make sure everyone in their house feels touched by something during the year. Many times I just take stuff for the kids. Then other times I take stuff just for the adults. If I see on social media they got a new pet, I send them something from Amazon. Baby, something from Amazon sent in the mail. I try to stay up with their social media so I know what is going on and what their needs are, I want to be the person they can come to for anything. For me, making my clients feel seen, understood and heard is the most important aspect of my job. I’ve always had the strong idea that once you’re getting a tattoo is really important the experience you go through, because that experience is going to be heavily attached to the tattoo you’re wearing, if you get to have a great moment, you’re gonna look at your tattoo, and be like “ I remember having a great time, I remember feeling comfortable and happy while getting this tattoo, and that my tattoo artist understood and heard what I wanted to get” instead of looking at your tattoo and being like “he just did what he wanted never cared about my thoughts and I hate this thing”. So it’s a 50/50 always for me between creating pristine work and making my clients feel comfortable throughout the experience. Read more>>

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for giving us the opportunity to share the inspiring story of HomeStrong Fitness with your audience! Let me take a moment to paint a clearer picture of what HomeStrong Fitness truly represents as a company. HomeStrong Fitness is more than just a company; it’s a family business born out of the passion my wife and I share for health and fitness. Over the years, we have followed and admired many industry leaders like Dave Asprey of the Bulletproof brand, Mark Sisson of the Primal brand, Aubrey Marcus of the Onnit brand, and several others. These remarkable individuals have not only created successful products but have also built strong and unique “brands” that offer tremendous value to their consumers. Read more>>

The products I create are usually based on customer requests, so I would say that aside from randomly surprising customers with extra products in their orders, the way I show appreciation to customers is by creating products that they ask for. When I started Xanthines All Natural Products, it was my goal and vision to provide non toxic and safe alternatives to products that families used daily by combining my expertise as a toxicologist with my holistic side. I started with aluminum free natural deodorant because deodorant/antiperspirant is a product that is used daily and stays on the body for a very long time throughout the day. In addition, the statistics showing how breast cancer was disproportionately affecting Black and Brown women were alarming and new research started to suggest that the ingredients in these products may be linked to breast cancer. Any customers or supporters I have, I really appreciate more than they know. Word of mouth goes a long way, and sharing my business with others also helps expand my reach. No matter how big or small an order may be, I love to add extra art for free. I love to add stickers, jewelry, trinkets, prints, or even original pieces of art. I feel this shows the customer I appreciate them and want them to know I thrive because of them. I enjoy making hand made thank you notes and hand packaging each order myself. I hope that anyone who purchases from me or supports me in any form knows how much they mean to me. Read more>>

So every month, towards the end of the month, we do wat is called our Customer Appreciation. We mark our Mystery t-shirt down to as low as $5 for 24 hours. It is our way of showing that we appreciate all of our customers for supporting our brand and keeping us in business. We know that our customers could be shopping with any other brand in the world, but chose to shop with us, and that’s something that we don’t take for granted. Read more>>
