I would say that the time I’ve invested and the professional connections I’ve built have been the most significant investments I’ve made in my life so far. It’s become clear to me that my commitment to showing up for work when I’m hired is not only crucial for my job but also for my own aspirations and goals. Creating the same level of accountability when I’m not externally supervised can be tough, but it’s crucial for me to hold myself responsible for how I manage my time and approach my work. When talking about this business of mine, I must say that the absolute best investment I ever made was my starter kit. Just the act of purchasing that one high dollar investment was also giving myself the opportunity to take a chance on something new. I had not idea if I was even going to like making stained glass, or if I would even be any good at it, but I did know that I would never find out if I didn’t at least take a chance on myself and just go for it!
