It was on Loyola University’s campus, on a late chilly autumn day in the Windy City, Chicago. My youngest of four was in kindergarten and I was changing careers. It felt both awesome and a bit scary. It was exciting and freeing to pursue this career adventure and yet, i couldn’t help thinking Am I spending money here we might be needing for our kids for college?

I went to an undergraduate for exercise science and that began my introduction to the world of wellness. I started my business in my junior year of college as a way to share what I was learning with others. From there I went on to pursue my master’s in nutrition and exercise science, believing that was the world for me until I faced my own health issues that made me realize that I needed to go deeper than the systems I was learning. My training experience was very intense and character developing. It wasn’t just the training of various treatment machines and knowing how to treat different skin types.
