I currently run my own social media and have been super hesitant to relinquish control to anyone else. I feel like I have a connection with my audience because I am authentic and it’s me so replicating that seems hard. Social media is daunting, you can never post enough is how I feel. Also it’s constantly changing so keeping up to date with changes and updates is a full process in and of itself. All that being said, I love interacting with the people on my page as me. That is how we can showcase our work to the world, yes our websites do that but in todays society of hashtags and scrolling social media is where it is at. I manage my own social media accounts for both side of my business – weddings and births. I don’t have a social media or team of people that work for me. My 7 year old daughter works with me and my husband helps pack orders when he cans. but otherwise I do it ALL! Every weekend I sit down and look at the week ahead and see what quirky (like unicorn day) or real holidays are being celebrated that week and plan my posts accordingly.
