Hi Shiloh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I first started to explore my creative side, I messed up a TON. Part of me wanted to give up and find a different hobby, but deep down I felt like I needed to keep going.
Today, 9 years later, I own a successful small business where I make and sell
things that I love and that customers love all the same.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some struggles i’ve faced starting my small business was the cost vs sales.
Some items, I bought supplies for some things (such as my hair oil) bulk assuming i’d sell them fast, only for them to sell slowly, or I would only make 3 of something for it to sell out immediately.
It truly is a gamble when it comes to sales, so that has been my biggest bump that i’m working on finding a solution too.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a mix of so many things in my business.
I make body products, literally from the tip of your head to the bottom of your toes.
But I also make rosary’s, spiritual items, do spiritual workings, etc.
I merge my spiritual life and as my friends say “Jesus Freak” side with my love for natural healing and body products.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I recently came up with some new items. My soap has been a new item; and my customers are eating it UP.
I can not keep it in stock.
