Today we’d like to introduce you to Paras Juneja.
Hi Paras, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
From the moment I discovered my passion for design and motion, I knew I wanted to create work that not only looked good but made people feel something. I started by earning a Bachelor of Science in Animation and Multimedia from BIT Mesra. Determined to push my creative boundaries, I pursued a Master’s in Advertising from Miami Ad School Germany. That decision opened up a world of international opportunities, allowing me to collaborate with global brands. One of my earliest milestones was working with Elephant on the launch of NBC Peacock and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where I created user inface animations and transformed raw footage into engaging motion graphics for Team USA’s athlete introductions.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with iconic brands like Apple, Samsung, Verizon, Instagram, and Logitech—each project a new creative challenge. At R/GA New York, I dove headfirst into AR development, making AR Toolkits for Verizon’s Techxperts series, while my time with Fox My Box saw me leading full CGI commercial productions, often under intense deadlines. These fast-paced environments taught me to think on my feet, manage teams, and deliver results that exceeded expectations.
Today, with six years of experience spanning both agency and startup environments, I see every project as a story waiting to be told. I’m passionate about creating designs that captivate, inspire, and deliver real value.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a motion designer, there are several challenges I face on my journey. One of the biggest hurdles is managing time effectively, especially when working on tight deadlines. Sometimes, even with the best planning, unexpected revisions or technical issues can come up, which require quick problem-solving while maintaining high-quality output.
Another challenge is staying ahead of the curve in terms of industry trends and technology. Motion design constantly evolves, and keeping up with new tools and techniques can be overwhelming, but it’s essential to stay relevant. The balance of being creative while ensuring the design meets client expectations can also be tricky. There’s always the pressure of making sure the design is visually striking and unique, but it has to fit within the brand’s identity and message.
And of course, the technical side of motion design can sometimes be demanding. Handling complex animations, achieving smooth transitions, or rendering heavy scenes can tax my system, especially when working with high-resolution files or 3D elements. Despite these obstacles, I find the process rewarding, as overcoming these challenges often results in a piece of work I can truly be proud of.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in motion design and 3D art, bringing creative ideas to life through dynamic visuals that tell compelling stories. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from ad campaigns for global brands to immersive 3D commercials. What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly blend artistic creativity with technical precision. I’m known for crafting visuals that are not only striking but also strategically aligned with the brand’s message and goals.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is the custom Apple AirTags campaign I worked on for Fox My Box and iFuture. The project had a tight 15-day deadline, but I took full ownership of it from start to finish. I designed the entire commercial, handling everything from texturing and lighting to animation, rendering, and sound design. The goal was to launch a customized AirTags campaign that would boost brand awareness and sales, and we saw remarkable results—50% more website traffic and a 28% increase in sales of the customized AirTags. It was a massive challenge, but it pushed me to deliver under pressure and the impact it had made the effort worth it.
What sets me apart is my dedication to quality and my ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising on creativity. I’m not just about making things look good; I focus on the bigger picture—how design can directly impact a brand’s performance and engagement with its audience. I take pride in how my work helps companies connect with people on a deeper level and make lasting impressions.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve had my fair share of tough times when things didn’t go as planned, or projects seemed to hit a roadblock. Those moments of “bad luck” have been just as valuable because they’ve pushed me to grow, adapt, and develop resilience. I’ve had to work through setbacks, whether it was dealing with tight deadlines or technical difficulties, and I always came out stronger. Ultimately, I don’t rely on luck; I focus on preparing myself, putting in the work, and staying open to opportunities. I guess you could say I create my luck through perseverance and a willingness to take on challenges.
