Today we’d like to introduce you to Misha Battiste

Hi Misha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

I am a certified life and leadership coach. I started coaching in 2022, and launched my coaching business, Become Your Own Muse in 2023. Prior to that, I was a political strategist in the democratic party. I worked on several presidential and federal campaigns from 2014-2022. It was a whirlwind and I’m very proud of the work I’ve done, but I was emotionally burnt towards the end. Politics is personal to me, but I struggled to feel my best and be authentic in the political space. As a coach for ambitious women, I now help women who are in similar positions to me in the past. I help them to bring their magic, leadership, and authenticity to their work and life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

It’s been rocking to say the least, I had a plan in the beginning of 2023 to move to Los Angeles and start my business there. Of course, God had other plans for me. Instead, I got laid-off like many people in tech went through post-pandemic and moved in with my parents. It was disappointing and humbling, but I believe that everything happens for a reason.

Over the last year at home, I had the space to create the Become Your Own Muse brand, complete my certification program, travel through europe, and maintain a roster of amazing badass clients. While I’ve been able to accomplish a lot, it’s also been hard adjusting to being a solopreneur vs. an employee. Finding the right routine, strategy, and mindset to lead myself and my business. I actually had to give myself space, to take a beat and to recalibrate how I want to run this business. Truthfully, I got caught up with looking at how everyone else ran their business online with content and I felt like I had to do things that way. But through taking a beat, I was able to realize I have to do what’s inside of me creatively and follow my own instincts, verses following with works for other people. I have to stay true to my inner muse.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

‍I work with women who aspire to lead fulfilling lives without compromising their well-being or being too hard on themselves. My clients want to cultivate a healthy mindset and a positive relationship with themselves to find their own voice and create their own version of success. I am most proud of the results I’ve seen from my clients. There’s always a moment with my clients that I feel like they’ve become “bad b*tches”, meaning they are self-assured, confident, and ready to go after what they want. That is the goal of my coaching and to see it happen each time makes me feel extremely proud.

What’s next?

My plans are to continue growing the Become Your Own Muse brand online and in person. I want to empower, encourage, and motivate women to follow their purpose, dreams, and ambitions. I’d love to do this on a larger scale through Youtube and podcasting, so be on the lookout for the Become Your Own Muse Youtube channel and Podcast next year. This year, I began doing in person public speaking events and really enjoyed it, so if there’s anyone reading looking for a panelist, trainer or conference keynote speaker, I’m ready for it!
