Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizzy Layne.

Hi Lizzy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?

I am a New Mexico-based Artist, Creative Director, and Experiential Designer, elevating brands through immersive experiences, high-level strategic planning, and a bold, dynamic vision. I have a background in Fine Arts and I work with varied media and techniques to creative captivating designs, paintings, murals, silkscreen posters, merchandise, and anything else the creative process may inspire.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

The road is rarely smooth but persevering the challenges along the way can lead to the production of great art. The struggles of the market, creative blocks, personal growth, self-promotion, and advancing technologies are something all creatives face. The trends and tools available are constantly evolving and it is important to keep up with the times, all while battling FOBO (fear of becoming obsolete). Skills that took me years to master, can now be completed with the click of a button. The trick to staying relevant in my field has been to continue to reinvent myself and learn new skills in this ever-changing world.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

My professional expertise is working as a Creative Director, Brand Strategist, and Experiential Designer who produces fully immersive brand activations and events. I also am a multifaceted, mixed media artist. Mostly, I just enjoy creating. “Make” is my mantra.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?

My inner circle of support includes my husband, family, and friends, and they all have really held me up throughout the years and keep me moving forward. Connecting with fellow artists and hearing their journey and shared experiences has been very motivating as well. Building a solid support system and connecting with my local community have become incredibly valuable to me and my journey.
