Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizzie Parra

Hi Lizzie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

We started in Interior Design by accident. We had just moved from Boston back to Central Pennsylvania. We began flipping homes in the urban style that we had come accustomed to in Boston. People started asking us to help them with their own home renovation design. And Parra Design was born!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

We have had a pretty smooth road, but we’ve learned that not all prospective clients will be a good fit for us. We’re at that nice comfy point now where we can pick & choose what clients we want to take on. Same with contractors. Some are not a good fit, and we choose not to work with those ones!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

We’re known for bringing big city design ideas into our small town projects. We are very cheerful and organized. We like to think that we make home remodel projects fun for homeowners – no small feat!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?

We have learned to be positive in our thinking, and organized in our work. Never be lazy. And always lead with kindness!
