Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Beam
Hi Kimberly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always been fascinated by spirituality. When I was little I was drawn to my sister’s tarot cards. She would never let me touch them, but I wanted to very much. I was raised in a Jewish home and had by Bat Mitzvah – and the studies for that brought to be synagogue often. Only, though joyful and intentional, I didn’t feel Presence there. I thought I found that presence in the church and converted to Christianity when I was 15. Inside the charismatic church, I learned how to use to energy to help heal and find words of encouragement for others. Now, I’ve moved beyond organized religions. I’m finding my center and my source in non-traditional ways. I meditate. I ground. I now use my intuition to find those words of encouragement and comfort people are looking for inside their difficult circumstances. I have made it a mission to continue to share healing and encouragement to anyone who wants it, relying on my source and guides to help me hear for others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Gosh has this been one rocky road! I sometimes want to fall flat on my face, let the tears stream down my cheeks, and submit (over and over). I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in my early 30’s and that shaped everything. It changed the way I saw God and organized religion. It changed the way I saw myself – both my physical body and my soul. I stared Death in the face and told it, “Take me if you must, but for the most part, it’s okay if you just stand over there in the corner and leer at me for 6 months.” I talked to God on this journey. I talked to Death. In many ways, I still do. Now, I struggle over such questions as, “How do you build a business of reading energy for people, for helping them ground, and hear, and trust their guts? How do you build a business as a public speaker, encouraging people to open their senses to their intuition and allow their whole bodies to take in messages for their highest good?” For that is the ultimate goal. These questions may not seem like the life-or-death struggles of surviving Hodgkin’s – however, now, they have become my mission and vision for my life. They are my purpose. They are my drive and reason for being. How do I help others learn and grow in the many ways I have?
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a public speaker, author, and intuitive. I teach others to trust their intuition and to hear with their whole bodies. I am most proud of the personal work I have done. This work allows me to enter into this work wholeheartedly. It allows me to meet people where they are in the most broken and fearful of places – with compassion and empathy. I have had dark, dark days – worries about money and health have been paralyzing. I used to have uncontrolled panic attacks and an untreated anxiety disorder. Now? I am able to meet people where they are, sharing energy (Reiki and other energy strategies); words of encouragement, hope, and peace; and give them strategies to uplift them, to encourage them, to cope with the daily struggles (both physical and emotional), and to learn to hear and trust their own intuition.
How do you define success?
Success for me is two fold. One, that millions of people’s lives are changed as a result of hearing me speak. I fill rooms with good feeling vibes and create an atmosphere of love and acceptance – at conferences and in individual sessions. The other side is that I am able to support myself and my family with the work that I do. This work is an exchange of energy – and money has energy. Some people have the view, that like nuns and monks, spiritual workers should give their services for free. The work that I have done on myself in order to be someone who can serve others has cost me time and money. I want many others to benefit from all that I have learned. I want to be able to give my time to others freely. Success will be when I am able to do both – support my family with this work and pour out freely all over the world to those who need relief from their current circumstances.
