Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Squicciarini.
Hi Heather, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Breaking Free: My Journey to Self-Worth and Trust
For most of my life, I lived in the shadows of my own self-doubt. I carried the weight of co-dependency, unworthiness, and the belief that I was never enough. I compared myself to others, always coming up short, and ultimately lost trust in myself. It took years for me to recognize how these patterns controlled my life and kept me small. But now, I stand in a place of awareness, healing, and strength—and I want to share my journey with you.
From childhood, I clung to certain thoughts and stories, believing they would keep me safe. I tried to control my environment, thinking it would bring me security, but in reality, it did the opposite. It stifled me, filled me with fear, and kept me from truly living. My codependency began early—I mirrored my surroundings, followed the rules, and never questioned authority. Thinking for myself felt dangerous.
When I got married, those same patterns followed me. I became a peacekeeper, always striving to maintain harmony, even at the cost of my own voice. Looking back, I realize it was my fear of losing love that kept me small, silent, and obliging. My husband always asked for my opinion, but if I disagreed, I would defer to him because, deep down, I never believed I was smart enough or worthy enough to stand my ground. Then, as a mother, I repeated the cycle—putting my children’s needs ahead of my own, believing that sacrificing myself was what love required.
The past three years have been a journey of deep healing. Every stored emotion from my childhood began to surface, and I found myself overwhelmed and confused. Some of these emotions I learned to process; others I projected onto those around me. I realized how crucial it is to actually feel our emotions—to acknowledge them so they can move through us, rather than remain buried inside. Whether through journaling, movement, breathing, or exercise, we must allow our emotions to be felt in order to release them.
I was confronted with jealousy, shame, unworthiness, resentment, and anger—feelings I never even knew were hiding within me. It was painful, but it was necessary. For the first time, I was seeing myself clearly. And now, I choose to trust myself. I choose to honor my voice. I choose to know, deep in my soul, that I am enough.
My hope in sharing my story is that someone reading this—someone who feels stuck, unworthy, or afraid—will see that healing is possible. You are not alone, and you are not broken. You are capable of rewriting your story, of standing in your own power, and of trusting yourself completely.
I am living proof of that.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
**Embracing Challenges: A Journey of Self-Love and Alignment**
Life has a way of testing us, especially when we dare to follow our passions while juggling the demands of daily responsibilities. When I started my small passion business while working full-time, I encountered obstacles that forced me to confront deep-seated beliefs about success. I had long held onto the idea that I needed to force things into place, that I had to be in constant motion to achieve my goals. But life had a different lesson in store for me.
One of my biggest challenges came with the Self-Love Journey Course I created. It was my heart’s work—a deeply personal offering to the world about the importance of loving oneself. For most of my life, I struggled to understand and accept myself. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror; I couldn’t recognize my own worth. When I finally embarked on my healing journey, I was determined to help others do the same. I hired someone to help bring my course to life, investing time, energy, and a significant amount of money into making it happen. But when the course was ready, it didn’t sell.
The disappointment was crushing. I had poured my soul into this work—so why wasn’t it resonating with others? Looking back now, I realize the missing ingredient: I still had two more years of deep healing to do. Even though I was on the path to self-love, I hadn’t fully stepped into my own worthiness. How could I sell a self-love course when I was still struggling with feeling confident, trusting myself, and believing I was enough? The truth was, I wasn’t ready then—but I am now. With a newfound sense of self and an energy of true alignment, I know my course will be reborn in a way that truly reflects my transformation.
As I worked through my healing, another challenge surfaced—this time at my full-time job. The deeper I aligned with my purpose of joy, peace, and freedom, the more I realized that my job was draining me. I was constantly stressed, dreading each day, and consumed with thoughts about work even when I was home. It became clear that my job no longer served the person I was becoming.
Admitting this was terrifying. It took immense courage to approach my Director and share my truth: I no longer wanted to be in this role. In the past, I would have viewed myself as a failure for wanting to step away. But the new me—the version of me that had learned to love Heather—knew better. She understood that being out of alignment wasn’t failure; it was an opportunity for growth. She had compassion for herself, recognizing that a job title or material success didn’t define her worth. Whether a secretary or the president of a company, she remained the same valuable, worthy, and complete person.
Through these challenges, I have learned that obstacles aren’t roadblocks—they are guideposts. They force us to pause, reflect, and realign with what truly matters. The struggles I faced were not signs of failure but necessary steps on my journey to becoming my most authentic self. And as I continue on this path, I embrace each challenge as a teacher, knowing that every difficulty brings me closer to the life I am meant to live.
If you’re facing obstacles right now, know this: they are not meant to stop you. They are here to shape you, to guide you, and to bring you into alignment with your true purpose. Keep going. Keep believing. And most importantly, keep loving yourself through it all.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In the fast-paced world we live in, it is all too easy to become disconnected from the very source of our power: our heart. We get lost in stories that are not our own, tangled in beliefs passed down through generations, absorbed in thoughts that keep us stuck. These narratives become so familiar that we mistake them for truth, forgetting the immense power we carry within. I know this because I have been there myself.
That is why my work is centered around gently guiding you back to yourself, to the place where your true essence resides. I hold space for you with love, compassion, and understanding, sharing my energy so that you may remember what has always been inside you. You are powerful beyond measure—you just forgot.
Through my offerings, I create a simple yet profound way for you to reconnect with your inner strength and wisdom. My 1-on-1 Reiki sessions incorporate sound, crystals, and/or angel cards, and can be experienced in person or over Zoom—energy knows no boundaries. For couples, I offer sound baths that help deepen connection and promote healing. I also bring my work into private parties for small businesses, homes, and families, crafting a sacred space for collective healing. Additionally, I am open to collaborating with local practitioners who share the vision of nurturing the soul.
Each session, is infused with Reiki, sound, and the guidance of angels. My purpose is to help you strip away the noise and rediscover the quiet, powerful truth that has been within you all along. The journey back to your heart is the journey back to your power. And I am honored to walk alongside you.
What matters most to you? Why?
**What Matters to Me: Helping Others Find Their True Power**
What matters most to me is reaching people through my work in a way that allows them to feel at ease, at home, and completely comfortable in their own body. In a world filled with distractions, expectations, and external noise, many of us have become disconnected from our heart—the true source of our power. My purpose is to guide people back to themselves, helping them remember who they truly are beneath the layers of conditioning and self-doubt.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel whole, to feel at peace within their own being. Through love, compassion, and the healing modalities I offer, I strive to create a space where individuals can reconnect with their heart and rediscover their strength. Whether through Reiki, sound healing, or the gentle guidance of angelic energy, my work is centered on helping others reclaim their light and step into their power.
Making a difference in people’s lives is not just my mission—it is my calling. When I see someone experience a moment of clarity, release long-held pain, or simply feel safe in their own skin, I know that I am fulfilling my purpose. Healing is not about fixing what is broken, but rather about remembering that we were never broken to begin with. It is about returning home to ourselves and embracing the power that has always been within us.
This is what matters to me: to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered on their journey back to their heart. It is an honor to walk this path alongside those who are ready to awaken to their true essence, and I am deeply grateful for every soul I have the privilege to support.
