Today we’d like to introduce you to Harman Kaur

Harman, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

Despite existing in the creative space for years and experimenting with various outlets (youtube, content creating, videography, etc), I struggled to find my true artistic calling. One pivotal moment came when a close friend invited me to join them on set for a creative photoshoot. Little did I know that this seemingly ordinary invitation would spark my journey as a creative director. It was a profound moment of alignment between my skills and my true passion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

The journey has certainly had its share of challenges. Initially, it took several years of creative experimentation before I realized that I wanted to become a creative director. This period of exploration, though lengthy, equipped me with the essential skills needed to enter the field of creative direction and production.

Upon entering the field, I had to prove myself to my colleagues and faced rejection from several projects. Despite the doubt and setbacks, my confidence in my work has been unwavering and has helped me persevere. Now, I have reached a point where my work speaks for itself, reinforcing the confidence I’ve always had in my creativity and work ethic.

While there is still much to learn and navigate, I am excited about the journey ahead, embracing both the ups and the downs.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I am a creative director and producer specializing in editorial and creative photo shoots. My expertise lies in storytelling, creating unique visuals, and branding. I am known for my overactive imagination, versatility, and innovative visions, often praised for my ability to do it all and produce stunning pieces of art.

What I am most proud of is my capacity to learn and my constant pursuit of knowledge. I am deeply fascinated by the creative talents around me and continuously seek to expand my horizons. Rather than aligning myself with one specific aesthetic, I pride myself on being a creative whose hallmark is quality and versatility.

I have a deep passion for exploration and the diverse stories of the world, which I believe sets me apart from others. This love for discovery fuels my creativity and drives me to push boundaries in my work.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.

As a creative in today’s world, I believe taking risks is essential. To forge a livelihood from my art and dedicate myself to creative passions, embracing risks becomes necessary. Early in my career, I faced financial constraints while building my portfolio. Despite limited resources, I remained steadfast in upholding my creative visions. Rather than compromising, I strategized by leveraging connections, negotiating, or offering alternative value to bring my ideas to fruition. This approach not only strengthened my resolve but also taught me invaluable lessons in resourcefulness and determination.
