Today we’d like to introduce you to Dzon
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well if you guys tuned into the last interview I had with bold journey then you’ll know about my upbringing in life & music.
But I’m just a young 21 year old that’s from Louisville Kentucky with a dream & has love and passion in music.
I’ve been releasing music for almost year it would actually be a year in November, I started by freestyling in class back in 2019 & now I’m working on my first album in 2024.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Creating this album has not been easy at all I’ve listened to over 420 something beats, & i remember on the first day I started working on the album I didn’t even know where to start I just knew what I wanted it to be sonically.
Writing the songs weren’t a issue at all, all the songs are actually punch in freestyles
So I just flowed and it came so easy whether it was a beat that I already had for months or a new one
But mixing this project was so hard I’m still fairly new to music and I record myself at home, so I do everything myself besides making beats I have 4 differently mixed versions of each song so that should say a lot, but in 2025 expect great quality.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a musical hiphop artist that’s most known for my song “Faith” that dropped January 22nd of this year with over 5 thousand streams across all platforms.
The album “DEEVILLE” is the only project I’m most proud of within my musical career, this is my first time I’ve really created something I actually love.
I feel like this album sets me aside from everyone else.. this is something true to me not Dzon, but Deon.
The album consists of 8 tracks, no features, & 15 mins long! And dropped nov.17th which marked my first year rapping
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was so happy, just wanting to make everyone laugh being the class clown i remember my 3rd grade teacher MS.Nakata telling me I should be a stand up comedian.
I knew I always wanted be an entertainer & once I became 13 I knew I wanted to do music, but like I always say I never really had the confidence.
People never really realized the things I went through as a kid, losing my mom really pushed me to hid my feelings with laughter, but now I’m so much better.
