Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel + Brittani Lam.
Hi Daniel + Brittani, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Daniel and I started our businesses years apart. I started dabbling in photography in 2015 when I created a fashion blog out of boredom and began getting requests from friends and family to photograph them. I officially launched Studio B. Photography in 2017.
Daniel began his videography adventure in the fitness world. He was a bit of a gym rat. Inspired by health and fitness influencers, he began filming his own fitness journey as well as the experiences for fellow gym friends. The videography bug bit him and he started shadowing a friend in the wedding industry and the rest is history. He officially launched Creative Culture Media in 2022.
We shot our first wedding together in February of 2022, kept in touch, and now, we’re married! It wasn’t as simple as that, but pretty close! Now, we work together in both businesses and even started a third (an online women’s boutique called XIV Concepts Clothing). I guess you could say, we enjoy the busy life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely not all rainbows and butterflies. Business is hard, the wedding industry is hard, life is hard.
We’ve struggled with balancing work and personal lives. It’s not always easy missing out on family/friend events because we work almost every weekend. And it’s difficult to shut our work brains off when the clock strikes 5 and it’s time to take care of the house, the dog and cat, our personal relationships.
We’ve struggled with gaining clients. The wedding industry has grown so much over the years. There are more and more photographers and videographers out there each year. The struggle to be “seen” is real. But I always say, “people will be getting married till the end of time, so there’s enough business for all of us.”
There are so many hats that we wear as business owners and creatives, there are definitely seasons of struggle, but the seasons of celebration are totally worth those tougher times.

Daniel and I specialize in weddings and family milestones. We absolutely love telling the stories of our clients in a beautiful, timeless, and creative way through photo and video. We love love, and we love to tell the world about all the different types of love, We’re so proud of the work we do together because it truly comes from the passion we both share. As husband and wife, we get to watch each other grow personally and professionally, and we truly enjoy capturing the love and growth of our clients in our work.
