Today we’d like to introduce you to Constance Stowers.
Hi Constance, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Sure! My story is a bit of a rollercoaster—pun absolutely intended. I started my adult life like many people do, checking the boxes: college degree, steady job, marriage, and what felt like a predictable life ahead. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t happy. I was living a life that looked good on paper but didn’t feel authentic to me. Fast forward to March 2022, I was navigating a divorce, feeling completely lost, and decided to go alcohol-free as a way to take back control of my life.
That one decision changed everything. It wasn’t easy, but in the quiet moments I used to drown out with wine, I found something unexpected—roller skating. At 35 years old, I laced up skates for the first time since I was a kid, mostly because I needed something—anything—to fill the void. Spoiler alert: I fell. A lot. But every time I hit the ground, I got back up.
Skating became my therapy. It gave me confidence, challenged me physically and mentally, and eventually opened doors I never imagined. I started sharing my journey online, not because I thought anyone would care, but because it felt good to document it. Turns out, people did care. They saw themselves in my story—the struggles, the resilience, the transformation.
At around the same time I was making these major life changes, I made another bold decision: to leave a stable, salaried career and pursue real estate full-time. I’ve always had a passion for sales and helping people, and real estate felt like the perfect blend of those things. But I’ll be honest—it was terrifying. I started from scratch with no guarantees it would work. There were moments I doubted everything. At one point, I hit rock bottom financially (hello, $78 in my bank account!) and had to rebuild from there.
I poured myself into learning the business and leaned into what made me unique. I used social media to build my presence, showcasing not just the homes I was selling but who I was as a person. By being authentic, I grew my network and turned my story into a brand. That approach has been the foundation of my success. Today, I’m closing out the year with close to $10 million in real estate sales as a solo agent. I’ve helped countless clients buy and sell homes, many of whom found me because they connected with my story online.
Balancing my real estate career with my roller skating journey and social media presence has been an adventure, but it’s proof that when you follow your intuition and bet on yourself, amazing things can happen. It hasn’t been a straight path, but every twist and turn has brought me here—to a life I’m deeply proud of and still building every single day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh, absolutely not—it’s been anything but smooth! The road has been full of twists, turns, and more than a few potholes. But honestly, that’s where the growth happens, right?
One of the biggest struggles was navigating my divorce and figuring out who I was without the identity I had tied to my marriage. It’s disorienting to start over, especially as an adult, and I had to confront a lot of fear and self-doubt. Going alcohol-free during that time was both a challenge and a gift. It forced me to sit with my emotions instead of numbing them, which was incredibly uncomfortable but ultimately healing.
Financial struggles were another huge obstacle. When I decided to leave my stable career to pursue real estate full-time, I was starting from scratch. At one point, I literally had $78 to my name. I had to get scrappy, lean into my resilience, and trust that I could make it work. There were moments of pure panic, wondering if I had made a huge mistake. But I used every setback as a lesson, whether it was about managing my finances better or understanding the real estate market more deeply.
Building my brand on social media also came with its challenges. There’s a vulnerability in sharing your story publicly—putting yourself out there and wondering if anyone will resonate with what you have to say. Sometimes it felt like I was screaming into the void. But over time, as I stayed consistent and authentic, people started to connect with my journey, and that made every moment of doubt worth it.
Oh, and let’s not forget about the falls—both figuratively and literally. Learning to roller skate at 35 came with plenty of bruises (hello, “floor tax”!), but it taught me resilience in a whole new way. Every time I fell, I had a choice: stay down or get back up. That mindset carried over into every other area of my life.
So no, the road hasn’t been smooth. But the struggles—the scary moments, the failures, the doubts—have shaped me into who I am today. And I wouldn’t trade any of it because those challenges are what make the journey worthwhile.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I wear a few different hats in my business life, but at the core of everything I do is a focus on authenticity and connection. I’m a real estate agent, social media creator, and roller skating enthusiast—but it’s all woven together by the same thread: helping people transform their lives by showing up as their truest selves.
In real estate, I specialize in helping people find homes that fit their lifestyle and goals. I’m known for blending a strategic, no-nonsense approach with a deep understanding of what people really need during such an emotional process. I don’t just sell houses—I help people find the space where their next chapter begins. What sets me apart? My transparency and the way I connect with people. I use social media to share not just my listings but also my journey, my personality, and my values. By showing people who I truly am, I’ve built trust and a business that’s 100% fueled by relationships.
On the roller skating side, I’ve built a community of over 100,000 people across platforms by sharing my story of how skating changed my life. That community inspired me to create digital products, like my beginner’s guide to roller skating, that empower others to take their first steps—or should I say rolls—toward something new.
I’m also in the early stages of starting another business that focuses on coaching women to reclaim their lives and show up authentically, but there’s more to come on that! It’s exciting to be exploring a new way to connect with my audience and support them on their journeys.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that I’ve built all of this from the ground up, fueled by nothing but grit, passion, and a willingness to show up authentically. I’ve created a space where people feel seen, inspired, and empowered to take action in their own lives. Whether I’m helping someone close on their dream home or lace up skates for the first time, it all comes back to connection and transformation.
What I’d love for your readers to know is that everything I offer—whether it’s a real estate service or a roller skating guide—is rooted in my personal journey. I’ve been where they are. I’ve felt lost, stuck, and scared. But I’ve also found what happens when you take a chance on yourself, and now I’m here to show others that it’s possible. If you’ve ever felt like it’s too late to start over or that you’re too far off course, I’m here to tell you—you’re not. And I’m living proof of that.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Oh, this is a fun one! I think people who follow my journey might be surprised to know how often I doubt myself, even though I’ve accomplished so much. People always compliment me on my confidence and how fearless I seem, but what they don’t see are the moments I spend journaling and reworking my thought process to fight off imposter syndrome.
I’ve built a life I’m incredibly proud of, but there are still times when I worry that I’m not enough—that I’m not doing enough, being enough, or achieving enough. It’s a constant inner dialogue, but journaling has been my saving grace. It helps me untangle my thoughts, remind myself of what I’ve overcome, and focus on the truth instead of the fear.
Another surprising thing? My favorite place to skate isn’t a traditional rink or even a smooth park trail. It’s actually on the beach! There’s something magical about gliding along the sand with the waves crashing nearby—it’s my happy place, and it’s where I feel most free.
So while people might know me for being bold and visible in my work, what they might not realize is how much effort it takes behind the scenes to build that confidence. It’s a daily practice, and I think that’s what makes my journey so relatable. I’m still figuring it all out, just like everyone else.
