Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian J Vázquez

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

It’s a been a battle since I left the house I had with the love of my life. I was heartbroken. I could hardly get from one day to the next. Sometimes I was very discouraged. Very depressed. I was homeless. I went through some very dark times. Then my brother told me it was time to do music again. He knew I had something to say now. So I sing my pain, Every day I ache to see my kids again. And I channel that pain into music. As my kids grow up, they will know without a doubt that I missed them. I sing something new for them every day, day after day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

My biggest struggle is my fight to see my son and daughter.

I missed my son’s third birthday. I called on his birthday, but his mother didn’t let me talk with him,

And it’s been almost three years since I’ve talked to my daughter, Sofia Mariel.

The rest of my life is still upside down, but I’ll continue to fight for them with my music.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I’m a rapper from the northwest. Washington State. I grew up in a little town called Fife, Washington.

When I first rapped, I talked about street life. I didn’t have anything new to say. My music was no different from anyone else.

Then, on September 12, 2022, my life was destroyed by the woman I loved the most.

She kicked me out. She kept my kids from me.

The hole in my heart will never heal as long as my kids are gone from me.

I thought I would never touch music again.

But now I sing my pain, I sing for my children. They are my life.

I’m still close to my momma, even though she lives far away from me. But she has always believed in my music.

I truly believe in myself, and my music. That’s what kept me alive through the days of being homeless.
