Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

I started cooking for my senior dog in 2018. She was experiencing arthritis pain, so I researched food and supplement remedies, and cooked for her often. I started the bakery in September of 2018, and I’ve continued to research nutritional needs and remedies for common issues such as pain or food allergies and sensitivities. I work with clients to determine the best ingredients for their pet’s individual nutritional needs. Clients can see my menu and price list at batonrougedogbakery.com. Orders can be processed by text, which is the preferred method, or email. 318-201-9961 or [email protected] I ask clients several questions about their pets normal diet and restrictions and together we determine which ingredients will be the best fit for their pet. A fan favorite is definitely my Gender Reveal cakes for expectant parents. Having their furbaby involved in welcoming their tiny human into the family is definitely a wonderful experience and the beginning of many memories to be made!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

I’ve enjoyed serving the pets of the Baton Rouge area, and have met some amazing pet parents! Because I am a very small business, just me, I struggle with not having enough time to devote to the bakery. Recently, I paused my online shop and currently only taking orders by text, call or email. My Instagram and Facebook accounts have tons of photos and reviews from satisfied clients. ☺️

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I specialize in birthday cakes, gender reveal cakes, and custom orders for pets with allergies or food sensitivities. I love getting pictures and videos from my clients of their pup devouring my cakes and treats! My decorating style is playful and whimsical, although I do take special requests.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?

The dog rescuers and fosters in the Baton Rouge and Denham Springs area have been some of my biggest supporters. I enjoy going to adoption events and helping new pet parents learn about the nutritional needs of their new furbaby.
