Today, Canvas Rebel got a chance to step into the captivating and competitive world of entertainment through an exclusive interview with Penelope, the creative mind behind Pegasus Entertainment & Events. Pull the curtains!
Alright, Penelope thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge to profitability in the concert promotion industry is the unpredictable nature of live events, particularly in light of external factors such as economic conditions, public health concerns, and changing consumer preferences.
However, the most significant challenge for us today is the changing landscape of social media platforms such as META. While social media has been a powerful tool in us reaching our audience, we’re dealing with daily obstacles that hinder our ability to effectively use these platforms to promote our events and, consequently, impact our bottom line.
Lower organic reach, higher ad costs, false content flagging, account suspensions, and lengthy review processes make it extremely difficult businesses like ours to maintain consistent progress and growth.
Thanks for sharing that! Can you share more with our readers about the nature of your business, your goals, and what sets you apart from others in the industry?
The nature of our business is the creation of unique and fun experiences! We truly believe in the magic of live entertainment, and whether it’s a music concert, a theatrical production, or a comedy show, our goal is to craft experiences that leave a lasting impact.
What sets us apart from others in our industry is our fun blend of youthful energy, creative innovation, and our commitment to being unique. We are a team that thrives on pushing boundaries, experimenting with new ideas, and infusing events with a fresh and exciting perspective.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our industry as a whole faced one of the most challenging periods in history. It was an incredibly tough time for us, as it was for countless others in our field.
Rather than succumbing to the uncertainty, we decided to pivot. We worked closely with the artists, partners, venues, and everyone involved to reschedule dates while implementing safety precautions. The process was complex, requiring renegotiations, logistical changes, and intense planning.
This experience taught us the true meaning of resilience. It wasn’t just about weathering the storm; it was about adapting, staying positive, and finding new ways to connect and as a result we emerged from the pandemic with renewed determination and a deeper appreciation for what we do.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Our best source of new clients for us continues to be our track record and word of mouth. We truly prioritize building foundational trust with our clients, and the success stories from our past events speak volumes about our commitment to excellence. So our clients’ positive experiences not only validates our work but also brings new partners and opportunities our way.
