We’ve always tried to ask the questions that matter but that are too awkward for people to ask their friends, family and coworkers without seeming dramatic. One of those questions is about mission and purpose – when’s the last time you asked a friend what their mission was? Too often we don’t talk about our own missions and don’t ask those close to us about theirs with the result being that our missions remain secret. Are you just a doctor or are you a doctor who wants to be there for patients in the way you wished your father’s doctor had been? People have incredible and meaningful missions, and we hope our conversations asking folks about their mission can inspire more such conversations in your life.

For me, my mission is deeply personal. I believe stories are magic—and when women tell their stories, they don’t just rise… they rewrite what’s possible. That’s not just a tagline. It’s a truth I’ve lived.
Years ago, I was in the middle of a painful breakup that shattered my confidence and cracked open something deeper. I was the good girl, the supportive wife, the one who made herself smaller so others could shine. But when everything fell apart, I did the only thing I knew how to do—I wrote. That one book, “He Did You a Favor,” Read More>>

I’ve always been resilient, driven to break the mold and prove to myself (and others) that yes, it’s possible. I’m a dentist by profession, but my passion for service led me to create two purpose-driven brands: NARF, a medical scrubs line that empowers professionals through style and confidence, and BridgePoint Sync, a company that simplifies home improvement for families in Florida. The story behind Whimsy Art Club begins with a anxious kid who moved every three years.
Growing up as a military child, I was constantly starting over—Every 3 years my entire environment changed. Korea, Texas, the Philippines, St. Louis. Each move turned me from an outgoing kid into an anxious introvert, always wondering: *Will I fit in? Will anyone understand me?* You know that feeling of walking into a new place and hoping someone will just get you? Read More>>

My work began as a response to a pattern I saw but could not ignore. I come from a line of spiritually gifted women who lacked guidance, language, and support. Their pain was inherited and their power was buried under roles, silence, and survival. That silence repeated itself until I chose to interrupt it. Read More>>

I am a child of the early 2000s, a time when Slim Fast, heroine chic, and tabloid body shaming was normal media for a girl to consume. I learned from a young age that my body did not fit the standard of the models I saw on the runway and magazines. I was very lucky to have learned to sew at such a young age because this gave me the autonomy to alter clothes to fit my body and style. Read More>>

My Story Behind Starting to Wire Wrap
It all started with curiosity—and a little bit of frustration. I’d always been drawn to handmade jewelry, especially pieces with crystals and intricate designs. Gather the Gals podcast and ministry began one night at 3 a.m, as I was feeding my colicky baby and crying quietly in the dark. My first son had been a dream, he slept well, ate well, and was the happiest little guy. But my second baby was the complete opposite. He never slept. He cried constantly. I was completely exhausted and felt like I was losing my mind. I loved being a mom, but I was silently asking myself, Is this normal? Is this really it? To feel this alone, anxious, and numb? My mission is to capture moments that feel like real, living memories—warm, honest, and full of quiet magic. I founded the nonprofit Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) in 2012 in response to Carson City needing a new animal shelter. The old shelter was built in the early sixties and since that time Carson City had grown to a point that the building, for a variety or reasons, could no longer safely meet the needs of the animals or the community. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints and competing priorities, plans to replace the old shelter kept getting pushed back. CASI was established to raise both awareness and funds to help see this project through. Read More>>
