We were lucky to catch up with Zople recently and have shared our conversation below.
Zople, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had started sooner?
Starting YouTube in my early twenties was always a love/hate relationship for me. Even while I’m glad for my fast growth and the love of many supporters, I am constantly reminded of what could have been if I had worked on my aspirations after graduating from high school. How far down the road to the greatness could i be? Would be a household name by now? Could i have retired my parents by now?

Zople, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
When I was 15 years old, I started an Instagram page called “Zople,” where I posted cartoons edited with lo-fi music over them. Soon, me and my editing friends created a long-standing community, sometimes known as the “Simpsons Wave,” but we edited all sorts of cartoons. Years went by quickly until I finally picked up a camera and began recording music videos, concerts, and festivals. After that, I started uploading TikTok videos of myself doing funny stuff, and this got me into watching other comedy videos. After watching other people’s prank videos, I eventually believed I could pull off something similar, if not better.Since then, my friends and I have been working hard every day to build a community that grows stronger every day. I couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished with everyone’s support, and this is just the beginning. Comedy genres are really difficult to get into because you have to be loved for who you are. Seeing that my content is appreciated gives me motivation to keep going.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The feeling of watching something you came up with originally, from start to finish, get millions of views is undoubtedly the best feeling a creator can feel. All your hard work pays off, and it is enjoyed by the masses.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Before I started YouTube, I never honestly thought I would actually make it. There are millions of other creators out there; why would I be the one to make it? Overthinking and fear held me back for years from chasing my goals when all I had to do was pull the trigger and try. One of my main goals—it might sound cliche—is to prove to everyone that with a drive and a will, you can do anything you truly want to. The only thing that’s stopping you is you.
