We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zoel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Zoel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

From my earliest days, I sensed that the world was more than just a place to exist; it was a canvas awaiting my creative strokes. Every decision felt guided, as if the universe conspired to provide the steps and people for my journey.

Moving from my hometown in Argentina to settle in New York never struck me as a risk back then. It felt like the natural flow of life. Looking back, I realize the enormity of the leap I took. Becoming an expat meant facing colossal differences – a new language, the absence of in-person warmth from family and friends. But in those challenges, I discovered a fundamental truth: every obstacle is an opportunity to grow.

Life taught me to go with the flow, to embrace challenges rather than question them. Starting anew isn’t a setback; it’s a chance for reinvention, an opportunity to chase dreams with renewed vigor.

As an entrepreneur at heart and co-founder of the Movement Be Here Now, a self-development company, I wear many hats – a musical artist, singer-songwriter, music producer, DJ, director, creative director, radio host, former MTV VJ, model, and more. Each role adds a layer to my narrative. My philosophy boils down to embracing the unknown, trusting that the universe will catch me – and it always does.

Taking risks is the melody that enriches the symphony of my life. It’s about jumping into different realities, exploring diverse creative paths, and letting the universe unveil its wonders. With each leap, I’m captivated by the beauty of the varied realities waiting to be embraced. This earthly existence is our sole chance to experience and fulfill our dreams, and I’m determined to make the most of it.

As a Music Alchemist, my passion lies in the enchanting realm of live performances, where I craft unique musical experiences aimed at healing and harmonizing our bodies with our individual rhythms. In my musical endeavors, I wield an array of Healing Ancestral instruments, guiding listeners through a transformative journey of introspection. As a Conscious DJ, I thrive on curating Ecstatic Dance gatherings, empowering individuals to sow the seeds of intention, lose themselves in the music, and discover the vibrant force of life.

Switching gears to my role as a DP and Director at Rokkstar Enterprises Inc, I approach storytelling with a distinct vision. My eye, guided by a romantic sensibility, insists that every frame be inherently beautiful. I cherish the art of capturing genuine moments, advocating for spontaneity over rehearsed perfection. In this cinematic journey, I strive to tell stories in a way that resonates uniquely.

Wearing yet another hat as the Co-founder of The Movement Be Here Now, a wellness company, my primary goal is to creatively engineer experiences that unite people and leave a transformative impact on their lives. I aim to foster connections, evoke emotions, instill trust, and empower individuals to embrace their true selves. What I am most proud of is not just the multitude of roles I undertake but the common thread woven through them – the desire to create, inspire, and leave an indelible mark on the lives I touch. I want people to see me as a catalyst for positive change, someone who encourages authenticity, connection, and the pursuit of dreams.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Building an audience on social media has been an organic journey rooted in authenticity and a genuine desire to connect. My advice to those embarking on the path of building a social media presence is simple yet profound – show up authentically. Discover what makes you special and share that unique gift with the world. Every post should be a thoughtful contribution, considering its potential impact on anyone who comes across it.

In the vast landscape of social media, it’s crucial to remember that we are here to share the stories of our lives. Through these narratives, we learn from each other, find common ground, and sometimes, we rediscover the essence of why we started sharing in the first place. One key piece of advice is to resist the urge to compare yourself with others. Each person possesses a distinct and invaluable gift, and part of life’s journey is the ongoing discovery of that uniqueness. Recognizing the economic value of creative work, whether through fair compensation or funding initiatives, ensures that artists like me can sustain ourselves while contributing to the cultural richness of society. By embracing and understanding the unique challenges faced by artists in the digital age, we, as a collective, can create a supportive and nurturing ecosystem that allows creativity to not just survive but truly flourish.
