We were lucky to catch up with Zoe Spodek recently and have shared our conversation below.
Zoe, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Zoetaylorfit was influenced by my own upbringing. I grew up doing gymnastics, so movement and fitness were a big part of my life from a young age. My parents have always been my role models—they go to the gym every morning, and watching their dedication and discipline planted the seed for my own passion for health and fitness.
As I got older, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. During the summer of 2023, I interned at a golf fitness performance facility, and seeing the owner build his brand and achieve success with a company that carried his name really inspired me. It made me realize how impactful it can be to create something personal and meaningful. About a month left of my intern, I submitted my application to have Zoetaylorfit LLC.
I went to Florida Atlantic University where I obtained my bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I wanted a company that reflected my identity—something that was not only my passion but also my brand. Being my own boss, creating Zoetaylorfit LLC, allowed me to do just that. I wanted to make a lasting impact on people’s lives through personalized, accessible fitness coaching, whether online or in person. The idea of helping others transform their health, while building a business that carries my name and vision, was incredibly exciting and rewarding. I truly care for all my clients outside the fitness facility, which makes my brand unique.
By blending personal connection, accountability, and a focus on long-term health, I knew I could bring something different—and I’ve never looked back. Beyond fitness, I want to leave a lasting impression on my clients by truly understanding their individual goals and challenges. I want to empower them not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, ensuring they leave each session feeling accomplished and supported on their journey to a healthier, happier life.

Hi, I’m Zoe, the founder of Zoetaylorfit LLC. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. I grew up with a strong background in fitness, having been a gymnast for much of my childhood. My parents were always dedicated to their own fitness routines, and seeing their commitment helped shape my passion for health and wellness. After obtaining my degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University, I knew I wanted to create something that reflected both my identity and my love for fitness.

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been creating authentic relationships and community engagement. I focus on building trust with my clients by providing personalized support and consistently showing that I genuinely care about their progress and well-being.
Word-of-mouth referrals have also been valuable to the growth of my business. When clients feel supported and see results, they naturally want to share their experiences with friends and family. I encourage this by creating a positive environment where everyone feels welcome and motivated. Ultimately, it’s about creating connections that inspire trust and loyalty, leading to sustainable growth for my business.

My reputation within the market has been built on a foundation of authenticity, consistency, and results. From the start, I focused on creating genuine connections with my clients, listening to their needs, and tailoring my approach to fit their unique goals. Additonaly, I prioritize delivering a high quality service with my degree by my side and my certification in personal training.
