We were lucky to catch up with Zizi Asfour recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ztastic Solutions serves Emergent Bilingual students by providing their educators with the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed in their educational journey. English learners are an underserved community because they are often marginalized and lack access to the same opportunities as their peers. This can be due to language barriers, cultural differences, and socioeconomic status.
Effective educators can help English learners to be successful by providing them with a supportive learning environment, culturally responsive teaching strategies, and individualized instruction. Educators can also help English learners to develop their language skills through meaningful interactions, hands-on activities, and scaffolded instruction.
By working with Ztastic Solutions, English learners can receive data driven personalized support tailored to their unique needs and strengths. With the right support and guidance, English learners can overcome the barriers they face and achieve their full potential. Our company slogan is, “Ignite your potential!” We strive to apply this in our daily lives, business practices, and to encourage our teachers and students to do so as well.

Zizi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Zizi Asfour. I am and Egyptian-American woman that was raised in Argentina. I was born in New York and learned Spanish while being raised in Argentina. I have always had a passion for helping others. Being someone who had to acquire a new language I can understand and relate to our Emergent Bilingual students in the US.
Over the past 30 years, I have had the opportunity to work as a teacher and administrator in public and private schools. I translated materials and developed a science curriculum for the Health Museum of Houston. These wonderful experiences have made me into a person that has passion for igniting the potential in others.
In 2022, I retired from being a Bilingual/ESL director in a flourishing school district in Texas. If you know me you know I cannot sit still. Then it came to me! I can use the skills I have acquired to train teachers and administrators to better meet the needs of their students. So my daughter Chaille Thomas (a certified teacher) and I founded an LLC Ztastic Solutions. We are so proud of our accomplishments and the positive feedback we have received about our professional development sessions. Our enthusiastic passion for students it is what makes us stand out from others. We work very hard to make our information and strategies easy to understand, interactive, and practical. We are thrilled for what this new school year brings and we hope to publish a study guide book for the ESL 154 and BTLPT certification exams and provide more online training sessions.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Networking is an essential aspect of building a successful career in any industry, and in the field of educational consulting, it is no different. As a retired educator myself, my contacts with other educators, administrators, and regional personnel have played a significant role in helping us to build a strong professional network.
Collaborating and communicating at conferences and regional meetings has helped us to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of education, and can also provides us with new ideas and perspectives that can enhance our professional development sessions and academies.
Networking is fun for me. I love to meet new people and learn from them. Word-of-mouth and relationship building have proved to be our most successful tool for acquiring new clients. By providing excellent personalized service and results to out clients, we have created a positive reputation that has spread throughout Texas and hopefully beyond in the near future!

Brand loyalty is a key factor in the success of any business, and going above and beyond the job we have been hired for is one way we can foster it. In our organization, we believe that helping administration with tricks of the trade and ensuring compliance with state laws is just the start. We also do follow-up checks on our clients to see how the strategies we have suggested have benefitted their students.
In addition to this, we show our appreciation for our clients by sending gift cards and gift baskets with a personal card. This shows that we truly care about them as people and appreciate them trusting us. Who doesn’t love to feel thought of and surprised with a gift? By doing so, we establish a personal connection with our clients, which goes a long way in building brand loyalty.
Moreover, we believe that building brand loyalty is not a one-time effort. It requires consistent effort and dedication. Therefore, we make sure that we are always available to our clients, and we respond to their queries and concerns promptly. We also take their feedback seriously and use it to improve our services.
