We recently connected with Zeke Bleu and have shared our conversation below.
Zeke, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
Reflecting on my journey, I do wish I had started my creative career a bit earlier. I often think about how much further along I might be if I had begun sooner. However, I also firmly believe that everything in life happens for a reason, and my path has shaped me into who I am today.
My foray into music began in the sixth grade. I was quite young and had limited knowledge, but I was eager to learn and absorb everything my older sister taught me. If I had started my music career even earlier, say in high school, I might have bypassed the uncertainty of figuring out my path while waiting for my music career to take off. By the time I graduated, I could have already been deeply immersed in the career I had always dreamed of.
Starting my career sooner would likely have given me a head start, allowing me to establish myself earlier and make significant strides. Yet, the experiences and lessons I’ve gained along the way have been invaluable. Ultimately, while an earlier start might have accelerated my progress, I appreciate the unique journey I’ve had and the growth it has fostered.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, music lovers! I’m Zeke Bleu, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. Music has been my passion since I can remember, and it’s a dream come true to be able to create and share my art with the world.
I ventured into the music industry with a strong desire to connect with people on a deeper level through my music. I’ve always sung in church and in school from elementary to my first semester of college. With years of dedication and hard work, I honed my skills and found my unique voice in the vast world of music.
I specialize in creating ethereal and euphoric music that resonates with emotions and experiences we all share. From soulful ballads to upbeat anthems, my music aims to uplift, inspire, and evoke a range of emotions in my listeners.
Through my music, I strive to offer a sense of comfort, joy, and understanding to those who listen. Whether you’re going through a tough time or celebrating a milestone, my songs are there to accompany not only you on your journey but myself as well.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and vulnerability in my music. I pour my heart and soul into every lyric, melody, and performance, creating a genuine connection with my audience. My goal is not just to entertain but to touch hearts and leave a lasting impact.
I am most proud of my song “Me&U’ gaining over 3 million streams and putting my foot into the door of the music industry, all of the people that notice me in public telling me how my song got them through tough times that really hits my heart. It’s moments like these that fuel my passion and drive me to continue creating music that matters.
To my potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that my music is more than just sounds and words—it’s a reflection of life’s beauty and complexity. I invite you to join me on this musical journey, where we can share moments of joy, solace, and everything in between.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to sharing more music with you all!

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Value and Respect Artists: Society can start by recognizing and valuing the contributions of artists to culture and society. Artists play a crucial role in shaping our world, sparking conversations, and reflecting the human experience through their work. It is important to respect artists and their craft, and to acknowledge the time, effort, and talent that goes into creating art.
Fair Compensation and Support: Artists should be fairly compensated for their work. This includes fair payment for performances, streaming royalties, and sales of their music and merchandise. Additionally, society can support artists by attending live performances, purchasing music and merchandise, and engaging with their work on various platforms.
Access to Resources and Opportunities: Society can help artists by providing access to resources, opportunities, and platforms to showcase their work. This includes funding for artistic projects, grants, residencies, and mentorship programs. By creating a supportive environment that nurtures creativity and innovation, society can help artists thrive and reach their full potential.
Advocacy for Artists’ Rights: Society can advocate for policies and regulations that protect artists’ rights, including copyright laws, fair use provisions, and intellectual property rights. By advocating for a fair and equitable system that protects artists and their work, society can create a more sustainable and supportive environment for creatives.
Education and Awareness: Society can promote arts education in schools and communities to foster creativity and appreciation for the arts. By raising awareness about the importance of art and culture, society can cultivate a greater understanding and appreciation for the value that artists bring to our lives.
Diversity and Inclusion: Society can support artists from diverse backgrounds and perspectives by promoting diversity and inclusion in the arts. By celebrating and amplifying the voices of artists from marginalized communities, society can create a more inclusive and representative creative ecosystem.
Collaboration and Community Building: Society can encourage collaboration and community building among artists by fostering connections, networks, and partnerships within the creative industry. By creating opportunities for artists to collaborate, share resources, and support one another, society can help build a strong and vibrant creative community.
By implementing these strategies and fostering a culture that values and supports artists, society can contribute to the growth and sustainability of a thriving creative ecosystem that benefits artists, creatives, and the broader community.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) present both opportunities and challenges for artists in the music industry. Here are some key points to consider:
Opportunities:
New Revenue Streams: NFTs offer artists a new way to monetize their work beyond traditional revenue streams like album sales and streaming royalties. Artists can create and sell digital collectibles, exclusive experiences, and limited-edition content as NFTs, providing a direct-to-fan revenue opportunity.
Ownership and Authenticity: NFTs use blockchain technology to provide a secure and transparent way to verify ownership and authenticity of digital assets. This can be particularly valuable for artists in proving the authenticity of their work and creating scarcity for limited-edition releases.
Engagement with Fans: NFTs can be used to engage with fans in unique and interactive ways, such as offering exclusive content, virtual experiences, or opportunities to participate in auctions or giveaways. This can help artists deepen their connection with their audience and create a sense of community around their work.
Challenges:
Complexity and Technical Barriers: Understanding and navigating the world of NFTs, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency can be challenging for artists who may not be familiar with these concepts. Artists may need to invest time and resources in learning about NFTs and how to effectively leverage them in their careers.
Environmental Concerns: The energy consumption associated with blockchain technology used for minting and trading NFTs has raised concerns about its environmental impact. Artists and their teams may need to consider the sustainability implications of participating in the NFT market and explore ways to minimize their carbon footprint.
Market Saturation and Speculation: The NFT market is rapidly evolving and can be subject to hype, speculation, and market volatility. Artists considering entering the NFT space should carefully research and evaluate the market dynamics to ensure they are making informed decisions that align with their long-term goals.
In conclusion, NFTs can offer music artists new opportunities to engage with fans, create value, and explore innovative revenue streams. However, it is essential for artists and their teams to approach NFTs thoughtfully, understanding the opportunities and challenges involved, and making informed decisions that align with their artistic vision and business objectives.
