We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zeina Elchanti a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Zeina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your career and how did you resolve those issues?

looking at all those successful influencers, the idea of social media seemed very easy. A person can post stories, posts or videos and will be famous. However, after u start with your page, you realize that it is so hard to get famous. When I first started it was so hard for me to get views on my posts. I started looking at other influencers and learning from them. I even took a course that teaches all about social media in order to learn how to deal with such a problem.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I had the passion for traveling and fashion since I was young. As the years passed I realized that I enjoy traveling and styling outfits more than anything else. I decided to pursue my dreams and show the world how i travel and how do I style my outfits. Mainly I started my profile to show people that you can be and do everything. In other words, you are not restricted because you are a mom, your old, your conservative, you do not have the perfect body and the list goes on.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Social media is a very sophisticated and complex platform. Everyone uses social media to advertise and discover what is going on around the world. Social media is all about being real. I started building my audience by telling my friends and family about my profile. However, that was not enough to build a community on social media. I decided to learn from other influencers and from some social media courses that I attended. One of the main things that I realized will build your social media audience is showing your face and talking to your community. People like to interact with a “real” person.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

I have read a lot about how to grow your social media and attended a lot of seminars, but the most beneficial courses I had where “club life design” and “professional traveler” courses. Both of these courses explain social media and specifically instagram in a very simplified manner. They give you each and every way of how to succeed on the platform.
