We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zebulon Thomas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Zebulon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
Yes, I started as a videographer and I made a name for myself using a Glidecam Camera Stabilizer. I used YouTube to create creative commercial videos for companies and brands that gained them exposure and profitable business growth. I quickly became one of the nations most requested commercial videographers. I am a word renowned Glidecam Master Operator hand selected by Glidecam Industries, Inc. From there I was brought on as a Creative Strategist and head of production by many top producing entrepreneurs to help them pivot during the pandemic with creative marketing campaigns and courses to help them grow. Entrepreneurs such as Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, Brendon Burchard, Jamie Kern Lima, Amanda Holmes, David Asarnow and many more. As I was developing my skills I was always ready for the opportunity when it would present itself. The pandemic shifted those opportunities in my favor. The only challenge was managing my time to keep up with the demand.
Zebulon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am brought in as a chief creative strategist and head of productions to help create marketing campaigns and next level ideas to scale businesses and give them more brand awareness. I am currently involved in projects and events to help small businesses succeed and develop a better foundation by providing them with the tools and strategies that I have learned and developed over the last 15 years of my career. I want potential clients/followers/fans to act now by jumping on a call with myself to discuss all the creative options that may be available to them. I want to help as many businesses as I can. I have a team that is readily available.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been adding massive value to businesses of all sizes with creative ideas that help them grow both on social media and in-person with organic reach.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative for me is being able to help companies grow by being more personal with their clients and audiences, creating an experience that grows a strong community. If there is anything more important I can share it’s focusing on growing a community that builds belief and experience for all parties.
