We were lucky to catch up with Zayn Hesham recently and have shared our conversation below.
Zayn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most important project for me is the track “Fatra” because it is so far the most listened to in relation to the rest of my projects and exceeded half a million, and after it comes the track “Mesh Bafakar” and it talks about the different experiences I went through that may relate to some people, then comes the song “Ayesh Hayati”. The two tracks tell the same story, but in a critical way. On the “Ayesh Hayati” track I say, “I’ve been through everything I’ve been through” and on the “Mesh Bafakar” track “I haven’t gotten over the things I’ve lived through”
Zayn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Zayn Hesham I’m an Egyptian independent singer, songwriter and record producer from Cairo. I’m sings many genres of music such as R&B, Hip-Hop and Egyptian rap. Music for the first time in 2019, and in the first place for me is the song “Fatra” This track has garnered 100,000 listens in just two days, and this made me different from my colleagues in the same field because i presents vocals in a completely different way from them, and this difference made some of my works exceed the barrier of one hundred thousand And my elegant voice was the main factor, and with most of the criticism of me i decided to develop myself, so at some point i wanted to gather my thoughts and decided to stop singing for a while.
Ambition is grow inside me from a young age, and I dreamed of becoming an artist or a famous and
extraordinary person, I didn’t like being like ordinary people, I was from a musical family, as my grandmother taught at the Conservatory of Music in Egypt. and mother’s brother was also a singer and produced an album one day, and his name was Hossam El-Adawy, When I got older, I decided to record my first track and listen to it until I decided to learn the ways of writing songs, composing, singing and other things. Until I took my first road in 2019, and I ran into people who brought me down, but I never stopped moving forward after that. I developed myself, My mother also loved art, but she was a painter, My taste and type of music grew due to the environment I live in and I explored more with Egyptian and international rap and hip-hop songs. And I strive for the best and do what I can, and my task in my musical work is to present myself with my voice and my musical works, and I have reached the destination that I had hoped to reach for many years, and now I am achieving it, My advice to every guy at the same age as me, Do what you love until you get what you want, and skip people’s words and actions, In the beginning, You will not reach what you want, but you will reach it with attempts, even after a while.
I released many songs, some of which were popular, and some that I deleted recently while I was retired. In January 2021, after the release of the song “Rafeeq El-Shawarea” I retired from singing for personal reasons and the biggest motive was self-development and emptying the mind of thinking, and most of my tracks were deleted from all music platforms.
Until i returned again in January 2023 with two different songs, namely, “Ayesh Hayati” and “Mesh Bafakar” The two tracks tell the same story, but in a critical way. “Zayn Hesham” i said in the track “Ayesh Hayati” “I passed from all that I lived”, and in the track “Ayesh Hayati” , “Mesh Bafakar” “I’m no longer one of what I lived” and i wrote and sang the track “Mesh Bafakar” in one day, and finished uploading it to listening platforms the next day.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I strive for the best and do what I can, and my mission in my musical career is to present myself with my voice and my musical works, and I have reached the destination that I had hoped to reach for many years, and now I am achieving that, Thank Allah first, And my mother second, And my role models in life are them My family because I had difficulties in my career, but they supported me, And that is what kept me going in my career and overcoming it all because of them.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
As I said before, I strive for the best and do what I can, but I aspire for more and I want people to know me all over the world, even if I don’t. I only have the honor of trying. This is my mission in my musical career. My fans love me, this is the real treasure, and it is enough for those who love you or listen to your music that you produce to support you, and also whoever listens to your music wants to know more about you and know where you are from and how you started. This is an overview of my musical life, thank you for everything.
