We recently connected with Zay Poole and have shared our conversation below.
Zay, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
So this is honestly kind of a touchy subject for me in most cases, so forgive me if I can’t say it correctly or get lost in transit. This is probably one of the biggest and hardest thing to do for me. I say that cause a friend and or family member you would think that you shouldn’t have to always ask for support, it should in my opinion already be shown and supported. There is of course certain things you will have to ask for that extra push of maybe something specific, but naturally the general support should always be there.
It’s honestly heartbreaking to me to see others give that genuine support to their peers, but that person doesn’t give it back. I do believe people have a narrow look on what support can be, it doesn’t always have to be buying from that business it can be word of mouth and speaking of that persons business to someone, sharing/re-sharing things that they post, or even just coming to an event that friend is going to be at. There’s so many ways to support a business yet people have an issue to do the minimum for you. To be honest if those friends and family can support a celebrity or a business that doesn’t even know they exist then why can’t they support yours?
I personally learned awhile ago and sometimes even reminded that not everyone wants to see you win or they only don’t support your business just because it’s you, so I can only do so much asking and or spreading to get support until it sounds like begging and I’m not begging for something that I can natural give back to others who can do the same. I’ll say this support and give your people they credit and flowers and before all the glamour, because if you don’t some might not like the result of the outcome of not being a supporter. Then people who own business show thanks to the people who support you as well because without them you don’t know where you would’ve been.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Well my name is Zay and I’m a 26 year old from Atlanta Ga, I founded my business Moonlite Studios which is a creative agency and production company. My general speech that I give is I can do anything and everything creative, besides sing and rap. To be honest, I feel I lived and still living up to that small speech, and I say that because learning is what I do and experimenting is what I love so thanks to those ways of living, I was able to learn and gain knowledge in multiple fields of creativity. That being said, I also know my limits, I say I can do it which isn’t a lie but I won’t say I’m the best or greatest, that’s the truth but I promise you it doesn’t mean I don’t know how to do it. I can say I specialize in Acting, Modeling, Photography and Creative Directing/Director and graphic design which is what one of my degrees are in. I will say right now I’m more known for my photography and videography just because one of the cons of being multi-talented is that people always forget what else you can do, and I’m saying that in a more playful tone because It’s definitely a lot to remember, but I do wish sometimes I could have people remember because it also helps me be better and do better.
So, I originally founded my business as a final senior project in Sham Sui Po, Hong Kong; which was supposed to be an affordable high fashion company that was meant to design & sell extra-terrestrial clothing. In September 2019 I decided to turn MoonLite into something bigger than a senior project, I wanted to turn it into not just a multimedia business to design and produce art but into an innovative platform for all creatives. On July 8, 2020, MoonLite Studios became an official LLC in the state Georgia. Then as of October 27, 2020, the name MoonLite Studios has been officially Trademarked as a business. To continue as of September 14, 2021, MoonLite Studios was officially registered as trademark of the US. Then as of August 25, 2022, we received our second official trademark as a business. Then lastly and recently we received our 3rd and final official trademark October 4, 2022. MoonLite Studios is still in its growth phase but thanks to the hard work and industry acknowledgment of myself and the MoonLite team, we will soon branch out in Atlanta and will be recognized as a high-end creative company.
A problem MoonLite Studios solves for most of our clients is the range of services we provide. ML is a one stop creative shop. We are a creative platform and production company that provides anything from photography and video services to graphic design, marketing and advertising services, we also have our own models on standby for our clients projects that need models for videos, photos and even as brand ambassadors.
What we are most proud of as a company is our creativity, professionalism and overall talent. Majority of our team are talented in multiple creative fields. We utilize all of those talents in order to create experiences and creative spaces for our clients. As far as creativity we always think outside the box if you look on our website you can see what we have created for our clients and even our personal projects.
We will illuminate peoples visions and ambitions through our creativity and experiences.

Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
I can keep this one short only because I’m growing more and more into myself recently and I honestly can say this with more confidence than before. The goal and mission that drives me is myself and people of like mind that also want to make an impact and change the creative world for the better. The main goal isn’t honestly to be rich (of course that’s good to be financially free and all) but the goal is to be happy outside of the material things, it’s to use the gifts as a creative I have to express and explore the feelings of myself while being free and happy doing so.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I can also make this one short as well. Freedom of mind in most aspects, being able to see things that others probably can’t or miss, looking at multiple views of the world inside, out, sideways all ways. I can sum it up to this, “This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes”.
