We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Zariah B. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Zariah below.
Zariah, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The Mission
At Zariah’s Chic Apparel, our mission is to empower individuals to express their unique style and confidence through fashion while fostering a sense of community and self-love.
The Story Behind the Mission
Fashion has always been more than just clothes for me—it’s a way to show the world who you are and how you feel about yourself. When I started Zariah’s Chic Apparel, I wanted to create more than just a brand—I wanted to inspire a movement rooted in self-love.
We believe that self-love is the ultimate and highest level of luxury. True luxury isn’t about price tags; it’s about the way you feel when you embrace and celebrate who you are. I’ve seen firsthand how confidence and self-love can transform lives, and I wanted to design pieces that help people feel empowered, comfortable, and celebrated every single day.
Our goal goes beyond creating stylish apparel—we want to spread self-love to help make the world a better place. When people love and accept themselves, they show up as their best selves, inspiring others to do the same. We believe that by spreading self-love, we can spark a ripple effect of positivity, kindness, and community.
Through every piece we create, we aim to remind people that they are worthy of love, luxury, and confidence—because when you love yourself, the world feels that energy.

Zariah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
About Me
My name is Ashton (Zariah), and I’m the proud owner and curator behind Zariah’s Chic Apparel. I’m a designer, entrepreneur, and creative visionary who believes in the transformative power of fashion. My journey into the fashion industry was born out of a deep love for style and self-expression. Growing up, I saw how fashion could empower and uplift people, and I knew I wanted to create something that could help others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
Beyond fashion, I’m also expanding into real estate with a vision to combine style, lifestyle, and creativity into a unique business concept. Everything I do is fueled by a desire to inspire confidence, promote self-love, and provide people with experiences that make them feel celebrated and valued.
What I Offer
Zariah’s Chic Apparel specializes in creating stylish, comfortable, and empowering clothing that’s designed to make people feel good inside and out. Our top sellers—ZCA sweatpants and hoodies—are a perfect mix of comfort and chic, embodying the idea that luxury doesn’t have to be complicated.
In addition to our apparel line, I’ve curated and designed fashion shows, like the Ghostly Gala Fashion Show and my upcoming Self-Love Supermarket Fashion Show. These events merge art, fashion, and unique storytelling to create experiences that leave lasting impressions.
What Problems We Solve
We address the need for clothing and experiences that go beyond aesthetics. With Zariah’s Chic Apparel, we aim to solve a common challenge: finding clothes that not only look good but make people feel good. Our designs prioritize comfort, quality, and self-expression.
Through our events, we aim to give designers, creators, and attendees a platform to connect, express themselves, and celebrate individuality. For clients and fans, we create spaces and products that foster confidence and self-love because we believe these are the building blocks of happiness and success.
What Sets Us Apart
What sets Zariah’s Chic Apparel apart is our commitment to self-love as the foundation of everything we do. We believe self-love is the ultimate luxury and that fashion is one of the most powerful tools to promote it. Every piece we create, every event we curate, and every message we share is infused with this belief.
Our designs are not just products—they’re experiences. We put immense thought into every detail, whether it’s creating branded food and drink packaging for a fashion show or designing pieces that can transition effortlessly from casual wear to elevated style. Our mission to spread self-love also makes our brand more than just a business—it’s a movement to inspire positivity and confidence worldwide.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m incredibly proud of the community I’ve built through Zariah’s Chic Apparel and my fashion shows. Seeing people connect, feel confident, and embrace self-love because of my work is the most rewarding part of what I do.
The Ghostly Gala Fashion Show was a milestone for me, showcasing my ability to combine creativity with business to produce a profitable, unforgettable experience. Now, with the Self-Love Supermarket Fashion Show, I’m excited to raise the bar even higher by blending bold aesthetics, a realistic supermarket vibe, and a focus on both fashion and self-care.
What I Want People to Know
I want people to know that Zariah’s Chic Apparel is more than a clothing brand—it’s a space where fashion meets empowerment, confidence, and self-expression. Whether you’re wearing one of our hoodies or attending one of our shows, my goal is to make you feel valued, celebrated, and confident.
I also want people to see that my work is rooted in passion and purpose. I’m not just creating for the sake of creating—I’m building a legacy of love, empowerment, and bold individuality.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of my favorite marketing stories comes from the Ghostly Gala Fashion Show. It was the first major event I curated, and the stakes couldn’t have been higher. I had poured so much of my time, energy, and resources into making the show a reality. But as the event date got closer, I faced a huge challenge: ticket sales weren’t where I needed them to be, and I was afraid the show wouldn’t make enough to break even.
I had two choices—play it safe and scale back the show, or take a bold risk to make it an unforgettable experience that people couldn’t miss. I chose the latter.
The marketing strategy was rooted in storytelling. I wanted people to feel like they were stepping into an otherworldly experience—not just a fashion show, but a night where fashion, art, and mystery collided. I leaned heavily into the theme, using eerie yet elegant visuals, teasers, and bold messaging to create excitement. I even hosted live Q&A sessions on social media, where I shared sneak peeks of the designs and spoke passionately about my vision.
What really sealed the deal was partnering with influencers and local creators who could help spread the word. I provided them with exclusive behind-the-scenes content and tickets to the show in exchange for promoting the event to their audiences.
On the day of the show, the venue was packed. The energy was electric, and for the first time, I saw how powerful bold marketing could be. Not only did we sell out the tickets in those final days, but we also turned a 49% profit—even after covering all the expenses.
I’ll never forget how I felt that night—proud, relieved, and inspired. Taking that risk taught me the importance of believing in your vision and trusting your ability to execute it, even when the odds feel stacked against you.
That experience gave me the confidence to dream even bigger for my upcoming Self-Love Supermarket Fashion Show. If the Ghostly Gala taught me anything, it’s that when you truly believe in what you’re creating and market it authentically, people will feel that energy and want to be part of it.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
1. Communicate the Vision Clearly
As a leader, it’s crucial to make sure your team understands the bigger picture. Share your goals, values, and the purpose behind your projects. For example, when working on events like the Ghostly Gala Fashion Show, I found that explaining the “why” behind every decision helped my team feel connected to the mission. When people understand the impact of their work, they’re more motivated to give their best.
2. Lead by Example
Show your team that you’re just as invested as they are. Be willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside them. Whether it’s late nights perfecting the set design or troubleshooting last-minute issues, demonstrating that you’re willing to put in the effort inspires your team to do the same.
3. Empower Your Team Members
Trust is a big part of morale. Give your team members the space to own their roles and make creative decisions. When they feel valued for their unique skills, they’ll stay engaged and enthusiastic. During the Ghostly Gala, I let each designer have creative freedom over their runway presentation, which not only brought out their best work but also made them feel proud to be part of the show.
4. Celebrate Wins—Big and Small
Acknowledging hard work goes a long way in keeping morale high. Whether it’s a shoutout during a team meeting or a personal thank-you note, recognition helps people feel seen and appreciated. After a successful show or campaign, I always make time to celebrate the team’s efforts—it’s not just about the results, but the journey we took together.
5. Create a Positive Work Environment
A supportive atmosphere encourages creativity and collaboration. Be approachable, listen to feedback, and address challenges with empathy. If someone is struggling, work together to find a solution. I’ve learned that when people feel supported, they’re more willing to go the extra mile.
6. Keep Things Fun and Inspiring
Working in a creative industry like fashion means the process should be as exciting as the final product. Infuse fun into your projects—whether it’s team brainstorming sessions with snacks or mood boards that let everyone contribute ideas. At the end of the day, people thrive in environments where they feel inspired.
7. Check In Regularly
Don’t wait until things go wrong to ask how your team is doing. Regular check-ins, whether one-on-one or in a group setting, show that you care about their well-being and not just the work. Ask about their challenges, celebrate their progress, and make adjustments as needed.
8. Stay Positive and Solution-Focused
Challenges are inevitable, but your attitude as a leader sets the tone. When things don’t go as planned, stay calm and focus on solutions rather than problems. Positivity is contagious, and your team will follow your lead.
Final Thought
Managing a team is about creating a balance between clear direction and creative freedom. When your team feels valued, supported, and inspired, they’ll not only perform better but also take pride in being part of the journey. High morale isn’t just about motivation—it’s about fostering a shared sense of purpose and achievement.
