Zahkia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Being successful means staying committed to your goals and dreams and sticking to it no matter what obstacles come your way. In life we go through many peaks some seasons may be high and some may be very low. Being able to learn everything about your profession and becoming recession proof through hard times is what success is all about as a business owner. Never taking the easy route, if the route is easy it won’t last long, having determination, hard work ethics , integrity, and discipline is the blueprint to being successful. and most importantly, NOT GIVING UP .

Zahkia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Zah’kia, also known as Aesthetician Muva. I am a licensed esthetician and the owner of Skin on 10 located in Warner Robins, Georgia. My journey as an esthetician began in 2019 . A family member of mine suffered from Lupus and Eczema . She always asked me to do her make up because she hated how her skin would look during her sickness. Seeing how confident she became after doing her make u made me very happy and that’s when I decided to do more on the skincare side. I went to school to become an esthetician and during my transition I created my first skincare product , which brightened the skin. When I saw that my product helped fade away my family member Lupus spots I then knew I had to finish school, this then became a passion of mine. My mission was to help others feel confident in their skin and help them get to their skin goals. At my spa, I provide face and body treatments for all skin types. I also educate my clients and customers on the importance of taking care our skin, it’s the largest organ on our body . My customers also can receive customized skin products for home care to maintain results. I am a corrective skin coach and I have a 5 star review rating . I am most proud of my dedication to serve others and the main thing I’d like for my potential clients to know is that skin results don’t happen overnight, but with consistency Skin on 10 will help deliver the results you desire.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Staying consistent with showing up for my business helped me build reputation within my market, building my brand by networking with others that knew more than me , and learning from my coach . Investing in my business with time and learning the importance of marketing budgeting.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn posting basic content. being basic gets you absolutely nowhere, I had to stand out from my crowd and learn new things because it gets very repetitive seeing others do the same thing as you. I also had to unlearn thinking that success happens overnight, everything is a process, Rome wasn’t built overnight , and your business cant be built overnight either. You literally have to treat your business like your child, take care of it, grow it, invest into it, it will all pay off and be very successful in the end.
