We were lucky to catch up with Zackeshia Brimidge recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Zackeshia, thanks for joining us today. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
The “Ready to Push” Bag (Keshia B. Collection) is an exemplary quality knitted push bag made with love for expecting moms and partners filled with all essentials needed to prepare them for their bundle of joy.
Our primary goal is to help expecting parents prepare for the arrival of their baby whether they are first-time parents or not.
All essentials in the bag will be sourced from reliable brands with a 100% guarantee of superior quality products.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Zackeshia Brimidge and I am 32 years old. I am a mother of two beautiful children Samuel and Syncere Anderson. I am currently juggling a full-time career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Suntrust now Truist and investing my time in my new product that I created called “Ready to Push Bags” for pregnant women. I recently graduated in December 2019 from Clayton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in integrative studies with a minor in Business. I take this opportunity to introduce my prepacked labor and delivery bags called “Ready to Push Bags” (Keshia B. Collection) ‘Put me in the Trunk’! I wish to inform individuals of this new product of services that could be very effective for pregnant women and partners to prepare and provide essential needs for labor and delivery.
I enjoy helping people and making life just a little easier for my customers if I can. Taking every opportunity that is given to me allows me to be more creative, take on more responsibility, improve my self-esteem and earn more money. I believe people who are motivated and inspired to enhance their professional skills are the ones who build more character. Therefore, change is my key to success and I won’t stop until I get my key. Every opportunity that is given to me will motivate and inspire me to take a more creative approach when it comes to various responsibilities that can improve my self-esteem and earn more incentives. Therefore, in the long run, I will continue to strive and work hard toward my goal as a leader.
I came up with the idea of the “Ready to Push” bags a year ago. I thought of this idea to educate and prepare pregnant women for labor and delivery and their partners. Providing essentials needs in a special bag that is not heavy or too compact. Timing is everything to me and I make sure my customer has the top turnaround time which is within 2 weeks from ordering. I enjoy helping people and making life just a little easier for my customers if I can.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Positivity is the quality that is most important to my success. If I continued to push positivity in my life and my customer’s life, there would not be any room for negativity. It was not a smooth road at all. Everything will come in time. My challenge will be balancing life. Getting through the pandemic as a business owner was a struggle. It was hard to get through, but I am a praying woman and I do believe there is nothing a prayer can’t fix.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience was a struggle. I had to understand my target audience, make my content short and to the point, and post quality content. Posting your content daily and also paying for ads will bring more business to your social media page. Consistency is the key to building a strong social media platform.
