We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zachary Tupaz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Zachary, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Strive to make something of yourself and do not be discouraged. You have to see a future. You have to continue working thru the good days and the days, Depending on the drama and the spectacular things that happen I’ve learned that you cannot quit to be successful there is no way out of success only thru.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started as a barber cutting hair for money, I get to meet the most interesting people in the world and they trust in me to incite me into their world, I do my best to focus on solutions that align with my goals and my client’s best interest. I am the first to arrive and the last to leave in my business. I have a fearless approach to attending events and cross promoting with clients and work that will put my profession and my skills in the best position. The only thing that sets me apart now is when I see the reflection in the mirror I am happy with who I have become in the process of growth my only objective was to help as many people as possible because I love to lead and I am fortune to have great opportunities that most people aren’t willing to do.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
When I got into business I did not have any gratitude for what I had. My plan was raise the standard and the level of professionalism in the workplace. The first lesson I had was not to take anything personal because for so long I had identified myself in who I am and self worth reflected on what was in my benefit or favor. I had to look outside of the headaches and all of the methods I had operated, so far it’s been years that it’s not the story that defines the lessons, it is the actions and the reactions of my choices that ultimately count.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I wrote down my own shortcomings and everyday I made an effort to get up and run after my dreams. I met a friend that shared with me that there is always more than enough to get what you need in your life and I became interested in learning more about how I can get involved in and create lines of connections not only for myself but for the people I believed in not always that way of doing business worked for me or was accepted but I love the people that I get to meet to work with and I’ll always reflect on the memories and wisdom shared with me.
