Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yvette Valdenegro & Geovanna Burgess White. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Yvette Valdenegro & Geovanna Burgess White, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Risk to us would be the absolute uncertainty of what will and can happen in the future. Risk can mean financial, emotional, and any form of loss or setback you know ahead of time that most people would say will occur. Our stories began at a risk point, evolved based on risk, and have positively developed because of risk.
We both set our sights on accomplishing the ‘musts & shoulds’ in life, school, marriage, career, and having children. Maybe not precisely or in the same timeframe, but as women, wives, and moms, we were dedicated to following strong societal values, standards, and rules surrounding the norm of early 21st-century womanhood. Although being young women brought us the joy of newness every step of the way, we both knew there was more to be experienced. Each of us had a different journey. Geovanna dedicated herself to a corporate career and eventually ventured out on her own with a divorce, remarriage, and starting her own business. Yvette dedicated herself to raising her children, volunteering, working, going through a divorce, and starting her own company.
Our business partnership intersected over time. We began to intertwine our passions to help young couples during their early engagement through their wedding nuptials. We risked working and bringing our businesses together at the height of the pandemic. We were willing to risk keeping our businesses open, reducing rates, and giving away free services to see others flourish. We don’t take that lightly, nor with an arrogant attitude. We see how over time, risking our businesses financially during a time when others closed their doors so seems foolish to others. This fighting and take-charge spirit kept our worlds spinning and moving forward. There were many changes, developments, and strategies. Still, our willingness to take risks led us to where we are today over four years.
We eventually sold our two individual businesses and put our time, effort, and energy into what we do best. We Help women build intimacy on all levels, revolving around the most crucial relationship topics communication, finances & sex. We use a life-altering framework to coach and teach our clients how to REdesign & REcreate their midst and goals toward their relationships for the right RESULTS.
Taking the risk to help women, marriages, and families at large seemed the only way for us to step forward. It has taken focus, determination, and the willingness to want more and give more. Our choices are not risks but a motivated mindset to not settle for less. We chose to be persistent and take daily steps toward our goal of establishing a NEW overall framework to help women in our relationship coaching practice.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The simple answer to our effective strategy for growing our clientele has always been to give. Giving and the expression for giving have been and will continue to be in ways some may not consider.
Our partnership began years ago in our previous businesses. We desired to help a list of couples who had lost their wedding venue and the deposits they paid toward their weddings. We both came together to strategize, find new venues for the couples, and see who else could help the cause. After witnessing the lack of generosity in helping these couples, we became thankful for each other’s attitude toward giving. We were giving back to others even when there was no monetary value. Then during the pandemic, our former businesses suffered just like everyone else. Still, we managed to stay afloat by giving away services to those in need. We eventually gave more than $55,000 in services. Ironically our businesses grew in reputation and word of mouth through the process, leading to natural organic growth. We have brought this same desire to help others along with us in our partnership at YGC Relationship Coaching. Through volunteering in multiple organizations in our community, we give our time our money to these same groups or other organizations in need. For example, we started a local Ignite Her Society Houston Chapter to provide women with a networking group that focused not on their business. However, it benefits their businesses but centers around the individual woman leading the company.
When meeting someone new, going to these organizations, our coaching calls, our podcast, and everything we do, we bring value to everyone around us. Giving value to others can be of your time and money, but we often prefer to guide someone in need a listening ear, encouragement, hope, and the reassurance that even in the loneliness of moments, women who want change in their lives have somewhere to turn. Offering a platform for women to feel their worth is the starting point in all we do.
