Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yunjin Cho. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Yunjin, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think the concept of success is inherently subjective, since each person’s understanding of success is shaped by personal experiences, values, and aspirations. Personally, for me, a successful life means waking up with a positive mindset and mood every single morning.
I know success can be defined by numbers and stats, but at the end of the day, we are all humans and we all just want to be happy. Just a few years ago, I was a very hard-working person who wanted to do my best at every opportunity that came my way—both small and big. Throughout my life, I have always set goals to achieve, visions to meet, and had the eagerness to keep growing.
When I injured my lower back discs and was bedridden for months, I took a full year to rehab and recover, which was such a humbling experience. This injury helped me realize that having set goals and the drive to reach a certain point in your life is important, but the most important thing lies within the most raw and essential part of our lives that we often forget: not taking things for granted.
In conclusion and to answer the question, I think you need to have the ability to embrace changes (both good and bad) in your life to truly be successful. Being able to see an opportunity rather than a threat or negative impact will only hinder you from growth and success. Additionally, even when faced with challenges and rough situations, having control over your motivation and drive is the key to remaining perseverant and positive.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been working as an animator at an advertising agency for the past four years, where I specialize in animating and designing various ads for clients such as Hulu, Visa, T-Mobile, and more. Outside of my office hours, I am involved in shoots for content creation at ADCID Media, a social media marketing business where I assist my business partner who is the founder of the business.
ADCID Media, a relatively new venture, focuses on supporting local businesses, particularly in Koreatown, Los Angeles. I joined approximately a year ago to enhance workflow and expand our client base from 6 to 12 businesses. We currently handle over 12 accounts predominantly in the food and beverage sector.
Our services at ADCID Media encompass professional photo and video shoots, menu and poster designs, door-to-door sales, consultations, influencer collaborations, and organizing events and pop-ups. What distinguishes us from other social media marketing agencies is our close collaboration with each client. We actively participate in ideating and crafting content that aligns with their branding and specific needs. Our ultimate goal is to achieve optimal growth and sales for our clients through tailored marketing strategies.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Fortunately, due to the tight-knit community in Los Angeles, a significant portion of our new clients originates from referrals by our existing clients or through effective self-promotion efforts my business partner and I put out on our social media platforms.
Additionally, we conduct weekly door-to-door sales visits to various local businesses. Another effective method for acquiring new clients involves proactive outreach via email and social media channels.
How’d you meet your business partner?
He previously collaborated with another business partner for several months before myself, but she had to eventually depart to pursue new endeavors. I was approached by him and his former partner through Instagram, as we had been acquainted on the platform for some time.
