Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yungbc. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Yungbc, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew I wanted to be an artist right around my sophomore year in high school. I always played piano and did shows growing up, but I feel like there was a surge or artists from my high school, and I felt like I could make music as good if not better than theirs, and I felt like my stage presence could be something I can bring to the table.

Yungbc, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is YUNGBC. I am 21 years old originally from Palm Springs, California but currently living in Tempe, Arizona. I make alternative rap music and I have been doing this for roughly a couple years now. I make merchandise, edit videos, create and collaborate with other artists, and release music out on all streaming platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, Tiktok, Youtube, etc.)

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, it’s probably performing at venues/shows or when my music releases on time. The one thing I enjoy most about music is performing on stage and feeding off the crowd’s energy. Also, meeting new people and not only growing as an artist but as a person. It’s the reason why I do what I do.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience by constantly posting, and I felt as if it grew more when I went to Arizona State. Palm Springs is a smaller area, and I felt like I grasped somewhat of an audience there because of those outside of my high school. I feel like it was a more comprehensive range of people, but being in Arizona, has allowed me to reach people not originally from there and just connect and network with different people from that school, and that has allowed me to meet so many new people.
