We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Yuliia Dudchenko a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Yuliia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Hey hey!
I’ve always wanted :) I was born this way haha. Thanks to my parents, they put me in dance classes.
But as life goes, it was little bit different, but I made my own choice when I was already grown – I was almost 21. I think the most important things- it’s never too late and don’t wait for any acceptance. Your people will always find you and support your art along your way.

Yuliia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Thank you for this question!
My name is Yuliia, I’m Ukrainian born dancer& event organiser.
I moved to US because of war about 2,5 years ago. By myself. So I believe, at least because of that I can inspire and motivate you. Which I do. I always get a loooooot of messages from my followers from all around the world and my students- that I motivate them and help them to keep trying and pursue their dreams. I thinks it’s my main purpose in life. Motivate people and inspire them to shine.
Create a safe place for people, especially women, where they can feel supported and make their dreams come true.
On my dance classes – I teach twerk& high heels- I let my students work in their own path. Of course I’m very particular about technique- because it’s about your health- but otherwise I’ll let you dance however you want and feel. I create this safe place because I know how beautiful dance can be, and how healing it is. Because it is kinda physical activity- it keeps your body strong and sexy, and it also helps your mind. It shows and unlocks new sides of your body – you start to feel your new abilities and it makes you feel proud of yourself. You can do movements you never noticed before. On top of that, physical activity helps reduce anxiety, boosts your mood, and reconnects you with yourself on a deeper level. That is the second side of my classes- women are coming to my classes, they are looking to feel free, sexy, feminine, wanted – and that’s what they get ❤️
And right now I’m very excited to announce, that’s I’m organising my first tour for girls- Let’s Glow Girl Gateway.
It was my dream last July and this July it’s my reality. I’m waiting for amazing girls from all over US to live this awesome experience with me. We are going to explore LA, will took three days of one of the best dance camps in LA- Chills Dance Camp. And on our last days we’ll have a real retreat- we’re heading to Palm Springs to recharge & reconnect ourselves, get massages in on of the best luxurious spa in US. A puuuure magic! Can’t wait it to happen, and actually, I’m sooooo happy! I already got sold out, and without even promoting it. That is the best what I can feel- people trust me and want to share ultimate experiences with me. Priceless feeling! The best in the world!
So if you want to share experiences with me and like-minded girls- I want to invite you to join us on @letsglow.girl or my personal @iaukrainiangoddess on instagram. Thank you and can’t wait to see you ❤️

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As I already said, I’m from Ukraine and my country is in war.
Sometimes we, Ukrainian people, have jokes like “Omg, I’m Ukrainian- I can do anything!”. Maybe it’s a self_defend mechanism, but it is definitely what keeps us moving. We’ve been through a so many things, so nothing will scare or stop us. When you see your life is in real danger- everything is becoming so unimportant. Like at all. All you need it’s just to be alive and see your loved ones around you.
And it moments like that you understand what real life is and what you actually want to do.
I’ve always been very grateful and present for my life, but after war has begun- I feel it deeply thought out my whole body. I’m very grateful for every opportunity I get and every person I met.
Especially here in US, so far from my home, without family, I can feel that I’m very strong. Moving by myself, building life from scratch, and still doing what my soul craves and with all of that- inspire people? Oh, this is so beautiful for me.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think the best society can do is of course to support artist – go to the shows, galleries, performances, concerts. It’s in material way and it’s good for people to educate themselves and maybe get inspiration or new thoughts from art.
In mental way- just let this people be. Accept the fact that they are different from you and from others and it’s okay. No one can be the same and it is beautiful. Life has different people- and they are all important- because everyone has their own mission in this life.
