We were lucky to catch up with Ysaline Rozier recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ysaline, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business because I lived the exact problem I now help my clients solve.
For years, I was a high-achieving corporate project manager. I climbed the ladder, made great money, and checked all the “success” boxes. But deep down, I felt trapped. I wanted more—more impact, more freedom, more control over my time.
A few years earlier, my dad was laid off after dedicating his best years to his company. He was incredible at his job, made thousands, and yet, it still wasn’t enough to secure his position.
That’s when I realized: Being great at your job isn’t enough. In corporate, you have an expiration date. You’re replaceable, no matter how hard you work or how many hours you put in.
And I knew I didn’t want to wait until I was pushed out to start building something of my own.
At the same time, I was trying to figure out what type of business I could create. I realized my superpower was getting things done. I had always been the person people turned to for advice—whether it was organization, time management, or productivity—especially the women around me. That’s when I started thinking: What if I could turn this into a business?
But there was one big problem—I had very little time and zero knowledge of entrepreneurship.
Then, my husband got a job opportunity that required us to move, and I decided to resign and start my business.
Honestly? Quitting my job was a big mistake. It put immense financial pressure on me to figure things out fast. I didn’t build my coaching business in the most peaceful conditions.
I thought that because I was smart and hardworking, I’d figure it out quickly. But it took me a full year of trial and error before I found coaching—before I realized this was what I actually wanted to do.
The truth? Being an entrepreneur and a coach requires skills I simply didn’t have at the time.
(Funny story: When I first told my husband about my business idea, he said there was no market for it. Thankfully, I quickly realized that as a man, he didn’t experience the problem I wanted to solve! But for a second, I almost let it stop me from moving forward.)
I started as a time management and productivity coach for women. The more clients I worked with, the more I was asked the same question by corporate employees and new coaches: How do you build a coaching business when your time is limited?
Then everything changed when I got pregnant with my first child. I was sick for most of my pregnancy, which forced me to figure out how to sign clients while working minimal hours. That’s when I developed the framework I now teach inside my signature program, The Part-Time Coaching Business Program.
That’s when I realized: Most women in corporate face the same challenges as pregnancy. Between a demanding job and life responsibilities, they don’t have time to waste figuring things out. That’s why so many of them stay stuck in their jobs.
They want to build a coaching business, but they don’t have the luxury of trial and error. They need a clear, strategic path to success—without spending 40 hours a week trying to figure it out.
I saw a massive gap in the coaching industry. Most business coaching programs were designed for people with all the time in the world. They weren’t built for high-achieving professionals who had limited hours but still wanted big results.
So, I adapted the framework I developed during my pregnancy specifically for them, so they get:
✔ A clear, results-driven strategy to launch a coaching business in just 5 hours a week ✔ A proven process to attract and sign clients consistently ✔ A framework to build a thriving coaching business without burning out
When I launched, I knew this would work because there were countless women out there just like me—smart, driven, and ready to build their own thing, but needing the right roadmap.
What got me most excited? The freedom this business could create—not just for me, but for other women.
I wanted to show high-achieving corporate professionals that they didn’t have to wait. That they didn’t have to follow the traditional path. That they could take control of their time, income, and impact—starting now.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
What I Do & Who I Help
I help ambitious corporate professionals and coaches build thriving coaching businesses in just 5 hours a week.
My clients are corporate professionals and new coaches who want to monetize their expertise and build a coaching business alongside their 9-5. They need a clear, strategic roadmap with proven processes and systems to get paying clients—without wasting months on trial and error.
What sets my approach apart is that it’s designed for high-achievers with limited time. Most business coaching programs assume you have unlimited hours to dedicate to building your business—I know my clients don’t.
That’s why my method focuses on:
✔ A clear, results-driven strategy to launch your coaching business in just 5 hours a week
✔ A proven process to attract and sign paying clients without spending hours on social media
✔ A framework to build a thriving coaching business while still excelling in your career (or balancing motherhood!)
My clients also love the accountability and hands-on support I provide. When you work with me, you’re not just a number—I’m deeply invested in your business and your success. You have access to me daily because I know that success comes from implementation. This journey isn’t just about coaching; it’s about truly caring for my clients and always finding a way to help them move forward.
What Makes My Business Different?
It’s Designed for Women Who Refuse to Choose I’m tired of society telling us we have to choose between success and motherhood. Between financial freedom and flexibility. Between impact and time. My business was built on the belief that women can have both.
I Built My Business While Pregnant & Sick—So I Know It Works I had to create a system that worked with minimal time because my body physically couldn’t handle long work hours. I’m living proof that you don’t need 40 hours a week to build a successful coaching business.
I’m Not Just Teaching Theory—I’ve Lived It I didn’t build my business by working 24/7 and then start preaching “balance” later. I built mine with constraints—just like my clients. I know exactly what it takes to get results fast and with limited hours.
What I’m Most Proud Of
Helping women stop waiting and start taking action. I’ve worked with so many high-achieving professionals who thought they had to wait for the “right time.” But once they applied my framework, they realized they could start now.
Creating a program that truly fits the lives of ambitious women. My clients don’t have time to waste, and I’m proud to provide a straightforward, results-driven path to success.
Proving that success isn’t about time spent—it’s about strategy. You don’t need 40+ hours a week to build a coaching business. You need the right strategy, the right offer, and the right mindset.
What I Want You to Know
If you’re a corporate professional or new coach wanting to build a business, you don’t have to quit your job or spend endless hours figuring it out. There’s a smarter way.
If you’re tired of overthinking and want a clear roadmap to getting paying clients—even with limited time—I can help.
You don’t have to choose between impact and financial security. You can have both.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A Lesson I Had to Unlearn: More Hours ≠ More Success
For most of my life, I believed that success was directly tied to how many hours you worked. Coming from a corporate background, I was conditioned to think that working harder, putting in longer hours, and sacrificing personal time were the keys to achieving big results.
That mindset followed me when I transitioned into entrepreneurship. I thought that if I just worked harder and longer, I’d figure things out quickly and build a successful coaching business fast.
So, when I left my corporate job to start my business, I went all in—only to realize that working more didn’t necessarily mean making more progress.
In fact, it had the opposite effect.
Because I had no clear strategy, I was spending hours on things that didn’t move the needle—endlessly tweaking my website, overthinking my content, consuming more information instead of implementing. And with no financial safety net after quitting my job, I felt enormous pressure to make it work fast.
The turning point came when I got pregnant with my first child and experienced a rough pregnancy. Suddenly, working endless hours wasn’t an option anymore—I physically couldn’t.
I had to strip my business down to the essential, income-generating activities and focus only on what truly mattered.
That’s when I realized: Success isn’t about how many hours you work—it’s about the right strategy, focus, and execution.
By working less but focusing on the right things, I was able to sign more clients. That experience led me to develop the framework I now teach in my Part-Time Coaching Business Program, proving that you can build a thriving coaching business in just 5 hours a week.
Now, I help high-achieving corporate professionals and coaches unlearn the same belief—that success requires overwork. I show them how to build a coaching business without burning out, without quitting their jobs prematurely, and without wasting months on trial and error.
Unlearning this lesson gave me more freedom, more income, and more impact. And now, I help other women do the same.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
How I Built My Audience on Social Media
When I first started my coaching business, I had zero audience, no online presence, and no idea how to create content that attracted clients. To be completely honest, even though I’m a millennial and supposedly grew up with social media, I hated it.
But I soon realized that in today’s world, having a successful business without social media isn’t an option. So I pushed past my discomfort and went all in.
Like many new entrepreneurs, I initially thought I had to do it all—post on every platform, follow every trend, and constantly create content. But that approach quickly became overwhelming and exhausting.
Everything changed when I stopped trying to be everywhere and started focusing on strategic, high-impact content.
I built my audience by doing three key things:
1. Speaking Directly to My Ideal Client’s Deepest Desires & Struggles
At first, I was creating generic content, trying to appeal to everyone. But I quickly realized that broad content doesn’t attract paying clients—specific, problem-solving content does.
So I got crystal clear on who I was speaking to: high-achieving corporate women who want to build a coaching business but have limited time.
I started creating content that directly addressed their biggest fears, frustrations, and desires. I spoke about:
The time constraints of juggling a corporate job and a business.
The fear of failure and wondering if they were “good enough” to coach.
The hesitation to invest in themselves.
The dream of financial freedom without sacrificing all their time.
Once I started saying what my ideal clients were thinking—but hadn’t put into words yet—my content resonated deeply.
2. Showing Up with Authority & Authenticity
In the beginning, I struggled to show up as my true self on social media. I was scared of being judged.
Social media often portrays a perfect, curated version of people’s lives, and I didn’t feel like I fit in.
Until I realized one crucial thing: People don’t just buy your service. They buy YOU. They buy your personality, your truth, your energy.
So I stopped trying to be “polished” and started being real. I shared my journey, my wins, my struggles—everything.
I didn’t just post generic tips; I shared:
Results-driven, no-BS insights that challenged industry norms.
How to get clients in just 5 hours a week instead of working 24/7.
How to focus on conversions instead of chasing likes and followers.
By positioning myself as an authority and delivering real value, people started following me because they trusted that I knew what I was talking about.
3. Selling from Day One—Without Feeling “Salesy”
One of the biggest mistakes I see new coaches make? Waiting until they have a “big audience” to start selling.
But the truth is: Your audience grows faster when you position yourself as someone who solves a real problem.
So instead of just “posting content,” I made sure every piece had a purpose—educating, inspiring, and leading people to my offers.
I talked about:
My own journey—so people could relate to me.
My program—so they knew how I could help.
My clients’ results—so they saw what was possible.
And I made it clear: If you’re tired of struggling and want real results, I can help.
The result? I started attracting clients even when I had a small audience.
Advice for Those Starting on Social Media for Their Business
1. Know exactly who you’re talking to & their biggest struggles. You’re not just posting for “everyone.” The more specific you are, the more your ideal clients will feel like you’re speaking directly to them.
2. Be YOU & be an expert—not just another content creator. Stop hiding. Speak your truth. Share insights, challenge industry myths, and position yourself as the go-to person in your niche.
3. Sell from day one. You don’t need a massive audience to make money. You need a clear offer and a strong message that makes people see you as the solution to their problem.
4. Stay consistent & play the long game.
I didn’t grow my audience overnight. It took showing up consistently, refining my message, and staying committed even when engagement was low. Social media is a long-term asset, not a quick fix.
Now, my audience isn’t just growing—it’s full of ideal clients ready to invest. And that’s what truly matters.
