We caught up with the brilliant and insightful YoungSauceDaGod a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

YoungSauceDaGod , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I would have to say at the age of 12. I knew I wanted to write and perform music professionally. I use to recite alot of hip hop and R&B songs by some of my favorite artists and shortly after I begin to create my own music and that’s how my passion for music started.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

YoungSauceDaGod is a promising Hip-Hop artist originally from Columbus, Ohio. After a 5-year hiatus, the eager emcee is now back to fill the void left during his recent departure. Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, YoungSauce is looking to launch a successful solo career that’ll impact the culture and shake the industry.

His solo debut, “Back 2 Da Basics,” is a 9-song album highlighting his signature artistry and versatility. The well-rounded project has something for everyone tuning in, proving he’s far from a one-trick pony. The street banger “Talk My Sh!t” (featuring Jizzal Man of Dem Franchize Boyz) is an anthem for the block. His hustler mentality carries the song from the trenches to the star-studded main stage.

“All I Need” (featuring Semi Sinatra) is a song for the ladies that’s sure to garner lots of attention. A love letter of sorts, YoungSauce expresses his appreciation to the woman in his life while letting her know she’s second to none. Be sure to check out the official video on

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Yes my Goal is to connect with my fans on a spiritual level through my music and hopefully inspire someone to follow their heart and dreams.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

I think alot of people who are non creators have the perception that this business is easy and just because your on TV or radio, or internet your rich. I wish it was that simple but it’s not !! This life comes with alot of pitfalls and stressful times, Success is not pretty you have to work very hard to achieve your goals. You get what you put into it.
