How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Yes! I had to pivot last year for my business. I always say this “you become an entrepreneur to be a problem solve, a voice for people “. Before the pivot I was doing amazing in my business.
I was on a mission to take my business to the next level I was able step down from my full-time job and go part time. I was just featured on Go Pro with Mr. Eric Worre, things where good clients were receiving wonderful results.
Then boom the company I partnered with shut down for 2 months. Within the 2 months of a shutdown my client’s services stop which mean my income stop. What was important to me was my clients, so I made the decision to pivot to a new platform to better serve my clients.
When I pivot it was the best decision, I made cause my clients did not have to wait on results. Since the pivot my business went to the next level, I was able to jump in and become a Mortgage Loan Originator.
Things happen for a reason cause on my vision board my goal was to get into Real Estate to help my client more.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started my business 5 years, only using social media for entertainment purposes and outlet on what’ was on my mind. When I started my business, I only had five hundred followers which was family and high school friends. I was trying on all different social media platforms because I need to get my business out to everyone. In the beginning I was gaining new followers, but people were just following me not liking, commenting, or inquiring about my business.
So, I started to focus on one platform which as Facebook cause the algorithm is also changing. I was able to follow a layout to help me build my audience. I started to rebrand myself and start becoming more engaged with my audience, showing my audience who is Yolanda, adding value to my audience about Taxes, Credit and Mortgage Loans. I noticed people like to get to more you if your just yourself.
