Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yolanda Warren. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Yolanda, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is built on tenacity. There will be a lot of times you want to quit or things aren’t going your way. But that’s when creativity has to kick in along with faith for the middle. Because at that point you are in the middle. The beginning is over you can see the end but the journey to get there is this thing called the middle. The middle can be challenging but without it you won’t come out on the other side.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’ve always had a gift which was cooking. It always came easy to me. I wanted to know more I was hungry so I went to School to LeCole culinaire there I received my Culinary Arts Degree. I was still hungry so I went back for my business degree. Then I went on to gain all the knowledge I could from certain jobs. Along with what not to do and how not to treat people. Coming up in this industry as a female Chef took some balls. Me Too was not a movement and we went thru a lot to get to where we are today.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I worked. I worked day & night. I saved everything from my part time jobs for 2 years in order to be debt free opening my business.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Consistency and giving back to the community. I never give up and it’s important the Chef Yo is known for helping feed others.
