Yolanda, appreciate you joining us today. We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?

The most inspiring thing someone has ever done for me was to give me a chance and believe in me. During a time in my life when I was just beginning to discover myself and lacked confidence, a remarkable person took me under their wing, guiding me and showing me the way. They entrusted me with their knowledge and shared personal insights, which helped build my confidence. To this day, I hold deep love, honor, and respect for this incredible woman of God. My life has been forever transformed, and now I have the privilege of introducing others to this extraordinary woman.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

For those who may not know me, my journey began with a deep commitment to women empowerment, rooted in my own struggles with identity. I faced the challenge of discovering who I am in God, which led me to embrace my purpose. My foundational scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This scripture came alive during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life when I found myself without a job and stripped of every title I once held. In that defining moment, I was led to uncover the true essence of Yolanda Mitchell, a journey that was not easy but ultimately transformative.

As I blossomed into a new creature in Christ, I learned to embrace and love myself unapologetically. Throughout this journey, I struggled with weight gain, which inspired the creation of NewBeing Queen shapewear line. This evolution also gave birth to NBQ magazine and talk show, aimed at helping others step into new ventures in business, ministry, and self-discovery. I strive to spotlight individuals through the various platforms I’ve created, celebrating their accomplishments and helping them recognize their worth.

I take great pride in my achievements, including raising beautiful children and believing in myself during times when others did not. I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that my primary objective is to shine a light on those who wish to celebrate their unique stories but may not know how. With Newbeing Queen, we provide individuals with a platform where they can share their journeys, allowing them to take pride in their accomplishments and in who God has created them to be.

Any advice for managing a team?

The advice I would offer for maintaining effective team dynamics and fostering morale centers on celebrating each individual’s unique contributions and differences. It is essential to acknowledge and commend team members regularly for their accomplishments, ensuring that no one person is elevated above their peers. Each team member possesses valuable qualities and strengths, and it is my priority to highlight and appreciate these attributes for every individual within the group.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

In my work with women, I have come to understand the importance of celebrating their individuality and recognizing the unique path that each of them is on. My ministry, as I believe it has been divinely guided, has taught me that many of them will eventually move on to pursue their own ministries or businesses. I have witnessed firsthand how some of these women have found success after leaving, often expressing that their journey began with Newbeing Queen.

Their return to share their accomplishments has reaffirmed my belief in the effectiveness of my work, inspiring me to continue on the path of empowering women. It has become clear to me that our time together is not meant to be permanent; rather, it is about equipping them with the tools they need to fulfill their God-given purpose.

This experience has reinforced the understanding that their growth is essential, and it is through this process that they can truly step into the roles they are called to fulfill. Ultimately, I have learned that my role is to provide support and guidance, allowing them to embark on their own journeys in service to their calling.
