The mission of our organization resonates deeply with me because it reflects my own journey of overcoming obstacles and finding my path. Growing up, I faced bullying that made pursuing my dreams seem daunting. However, through perseverance and support, I stayed resilient. Our mission to empower girls with guidance and support mirrors my own struggles and the importance of helping others navigate their challenges to achieve their dreams. By providing direction, fostering self-development, and building confidence, we are unlocking potential and shaping a brighter future for young girls, just as I found my own way through adversity.

Driven by a deep-seated passion for aiding individuals in navigating their financial goals, special events, and life management hurdles, my journey into the consultancy industry was born from personal experiences. As a wife, mother, and entrepreneur, I intimately understand the challenges of juggling daily responsibilities and financial uncertainties. Founding SWANS Connecting the Dots, Inc. Mentoring Program in 2018 was a pivotal moment for me. Through this initiative, my joy lies in inspiring and supporting young girls to chase their dreams despite life’s obstacles. Instilling hope and confidence in the next generation has become my mission, guiding them towards realizing their fullest potential. However, my commitment to empowerment doesn’t end there. Recognizing the widespread need for tailored guidance in managing finances and organizing events, I established McCray Martin Elite Plans Consulting Firm, LLC. Here, we offer a comprehensive range of services aimed at empowering our clients to achieve their goals with confidence. Our approach is what sets us apart. Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
The heart and soul behind the nonprofit SWANS Connecting the Dots, Inc. traces back to a remarkable bond—a mother and daughter united in a mission of empowerment. As CEO and cofounder, I found my path to mentoring through a series of unexpected turns. It began during my tenure as a mentor in another program, thrust into leadership when the founder faced an emergency. Two years of relentless dedication left me questioning the magnitude of my commitment. Yet, it was my mother who saw beyond my doubts, recognizing my calling long before I did. Despite my initial uncertainty, her unwavering belief in my ability to inspire and guide others never wavered. Through gentle encouragement over the years, she planted seeds of purpose within me. In 2018, those seeds blossomed into a profound realization—I was meant to empower others, and it was urgently needed. My mother’s continued support became the cornerstone of our partnership. Even before the conception of our own mentoring program, she gifted me with the name “SWANS Connecting the Dots, Inc.” Little did we know, it would become the emblem of our shared vision—a space where young girls could find guidance and inspiration to navigate life’s challenges. In her wisdom and guidance, I found not only a cofounder but also a source of unwavering strength. Together, we forged a path towards empowerment, fueled by love, dedication, and a shared commitment to making a difference. As we continue to uplift and inspire, our journey stands as a testament to the power of familial support and the profound impact of embracing one’s calling.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty for both a consulting firm and a nonprofit youth mentor program requires a thoughtful and consistent approach to communication and engagement. • Maintain regular communication with clients through various channels such as email newsletters, social media updates, and personalized messages. Tailor communication to the specific needs and interests of each client.
Use surveys, feedback forms, and one-on-one conversations to gather valuable feedback and demonstrate commitment to the client satisfaction.
Host exclusive events, workshops, or webinars for clients to provide additional value, foster networking opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
