We recently connected with Yesenia Martin and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Yesenia, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
It takes a lot of sacrifice to be successful and maintain the success. You have to believe it before seeing it.
Hard work, long nights, early mornings.
You gotta be so locked in with yourself you gotta be ready to risk it all for your vision. Patience and consistency. Faith and prayer.
Yesenia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always been a trendsetter, I express myself through fashion.
It’s like not saying much but still setting the tone.
I’ve always been unique, hard to understand and with being a fashion designer/stylist it allows me to exceed in what I feel comfortable and proud of.
In a room full of look a-likes and clones I always stood out.
Discipline came from survival knowing and understanding that you are only a product of your environment if you are a slave to your mind or statistics.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I would say word of mouth and social media, Certain high level supporters showing love to my brand makes others engaged.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Understand you are responsible for your actions no matter what foundation (if any at all) you might of have. Be proud of who you are when you wake up. Stick to god, relearn yourself. Take time to understand your frustrations and look for ways to heal so you can be the best version of yourself
