We recently connected with Yebo Moyo and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Yebo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Mastering the process of ideation to execution has been one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in business, and it’s one of the primary determinants of anyone’s success. Everyone has unique ideas to contribute to the world, but few take the decisive action required to transform those ideas into reality.
My journey of mastering this process began in early 2023, when I met my business partner, David Diaz. We connected over a shared passion for bringing people together in meaningful ways. After hosting several intimate dinner parties, we became acutely aware of the common pitfalls of nightlife: the frustration of long lines, the uncertainty of securing reservations, the discomfort of entering a space where you don’t know anyone, and the risk of a night’s potential being squandered by bad company.
In June of 2023, David got the idea to create an upscale, private event that embodied the sophistication and exclusivity we had always wanted in our own experiences. But this wasn’t just about improving the experience—it was about curating an entirely new one. Without a proven concept, we set our sights on executing an 80-person private event at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Philadelphia, PA. It was an ambitious leap from our previous gatherings of just 12 guests, but we were determined to make it happen.
In retrospect, we possessed a degree of useful ignorance that allowed us to execute on the entire event within a month. That event didn’t just mark the launch of our business; it validated our belief that ideas, when paired with decisive action and relentless effort, can become something extraordinary.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Unlearning the “lone wolf” mentality was a journey that reshaped how I approached both my personal and professional life. It began at a seminar I attended, where the speaker said something that struck me deeply: “Two in harmony is better than one in perfection.” Those words lingered, challenging my long-held belief that independence was the ultimate path to success. I realized that striving to do everything alone often led to burnout and missed opportunities for growth.
Any advice for managing a team?
For me, managing a team and maintaining morale is all about clear communication, mutual respect, and creating a sense of ownership. I make it a priority to set clear expectations while empowering my team to take initiative and trust their instincts. Recognizing their efforts—both publicly and privately—is key to keeping them motivated, as is fostering a culture where everyone feels heard and valued.
