Before starting Katharisma Cleaning in 2021, I spent 10 years working as a manager in the food industry. During that time, I honed skills in customer service, employee training, and safety. However, when I became a stay-at-home mom, I faced challenges that were entirely new to me. Balancing my home, taking care of my mental health, and supporting my family became overwhelming. It was during this time that I realized the transformative power of maintaining a clean, organized space—not just for the home, but for the mind as well.
I dedicated myself to learning everything I could about cleaning, organizing, and running a home efficiently. I started helping friends and family with their cleaning projects, and I quickly realized I wasn’t alone in this struggle. Many of the moms I met were also overwhelmed—whether due to illness, a lack of time, or the everyday challenges of motherhood. Managing a growing team while maintaining high-quality service requires continuous effort and attention. Keeping up with the financial and operational aspects of the business adds another layer of complexity.
Mental health has also been a challenge. Running a business can feel overwhelming at times, and I empathize deeply with clients who struggle to keep up with their homes. As a Latina business owner, I feel the weight of representing my community, but I use that as motivation to push forward and inspire others. Despite the obstacles, every challenge I overcome strengthens the foundation for my family, my team, and the clients I serve.
