Yassie , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I was 8 years old and told my mom I wanted to sing and be an entertainer. She placed me in the choir to sing with her , before I knew it I was singing solos . My mom always knew I could sing since I’d sing all the time around the house but the choir was the first time I really said to myself “ yes this is my calling “ . I’ve been singing ever since .

Hey everyone, I’m Yassie singer/songwriter/model born in Nashville,TN raised in Atlanta GA .
I started singing at the age of 8, with my late mother in the choir. I would always sing around the house and one day I told my mom I really wanted to be an entertainer.
So she decided to have time join the choir and sing with her, before I knew it I was singing solos and it just blossomed from there.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Music is therapy for me, so when I write a song I’m also healing.
Singing in the studio or performing brings it all to life.
Being able to create music and use my voice to speak my truth is what is rewarding . Being able to share that with the world.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think support can be shown in many ways, attending shows , streaming/listening music , watching/sharing their content and supporting any endeavor the artist has . Even posting their content to spread the word .
